I have been drawing for my whole life of 14 years. I enjoy creating my own stories and depicting the characters and certain episodes in them. I have just recently started to draw Manga and I think you are the best "teacher" (as i call you) on KZbin. I hope to become an animator when i become older, your videos help me achieve what I would like to call my dream. Thank you for everything. You actually explain HOW to draw certain features, others just say "Draw the ears and don't forgot the nose." Thank you.

Marc, I just found your Videos a few days ago. And I have to thank you, for givin me the Inspiration to start drawing again! I started to draw Mangas when I was like 11 Years old (today Im 26) but I laid it down, because I dont thought I was good enough. Maybe, If I hadnt stopped, I would be nearly as good as you today ;-) Thanks for the Inspiration!

I really like how with the first male character you did, he began by looking very army, you know.. strict, angry etc, but after you put the three strands/bands of hair between his eyes, he looked like a much younger, misunderstood type of character. It really shows what you meant by hair representing/reflecting a characters personality.
@ciqchustete986311 жыл бұрын
I am definitely going to read your manga, Miki Falls. It sounds interesting. Your anime hair styles are really great, and I like the way you explain the way how and why you drew what you did on the first two characters. I am thinking about making my own anime, but I need help on the hair, clothes, expressions, and movement postures. So that's why I watch your videos. Thanks, they really are helpful! ;)

So what have you done since 5 years ago?
@Hise8711 жыл бұрын
Mark, I really like the fact that, no only do you do step by step real- time examples, but I enjoy more the fact that you EXPLAIN WHY you do what you do. (example- the choking up on the pencil tip versus pulling farther back for dark/ lighter shading; following the curve of the skull for both hair form and shading.) Extremely informative! Even though I KNEW what to do, it never really hit home 'til someone has SHOWN me WHY. Thanks! :D

Hi Mr. Crilley, I'm having lots of trouble drawing hair.. No matter how much I try the hair always comes out looking unorganized and weird. I was wondering, if you had anything else to help out like size of the head or something. I also wanted to know, do you imagine the hair in your head first, do you look at a picture and draw it, or just straw a random strand and flow from it? Thanks A Bunch! Hope you can help.

markcrilley Mark your so much better then most manga artist that want to show you how to draw either hair or whatever it is. Christopher Harts is a good artist but really bad on teaching people how to draw. He does mostly females in his books and its really annoying. There are male's in anime you have to keep it 50/50 and not go with one gender over the other. Well I am so glad you do both. Your awesome I have to buy your book soon. I am learning how to draw anime and want to learn from the best and your the best in my opinion.
