My judge in MI was an ass. The same judge that granted me a RO, my husband was abusive, destructive and repeatedly broke into my home and kidnapped my son. That judge ordered supervised visitation with my son. The kicker, at my home with me supervising and I can't have family or a friend there because it would make my ex husband feel uncomfortable. The judge literally forced me to be alone with my abuser. If I keep him out I get in trouble. Made the restraining order quite pointless.

My wife is a lawyer and she has had a judge removed from the bench because he failed to protect her client. My wife had one of her clients killed by her husband. He had tried to kill her twice and had a RO . She was sleeping in her bed in a apartment that was rented by my wife’s law practice. . The judges office gave his lawyers her address and gave him bail after his second arrest for beating her. I own a apartment complex and we keep a unit empty now for things like this. We have had husbands come after my wife for getting a good deal for her clients and one with the wife was the money maker and he was broke. He was so mad he came after my wife with a gun. He failed to understand that my wife is married to a extremely protective person who has a lot of guns and he likes to use them. He ended up shot and in jail for- 12 years.

If someone contest a restraining order then what does that say? If I say I don’t want someone around me and they say ‘no I want to be around her’ Isn’t that kind of a red flag?
@darkblazer76x4 жыл бұрын
People can do that cause restraining orders can cause lots inconvenience s.
@luvondarox4 жыл бұрын
I think it's a contest in the sense of "I don't want this person within 1000ft of me," but they both work in the same building, or they have a shared custody in which it's not feasible to maintain that distance (like, picking up a toddler / kid that's not in school yet), or somehow blocks daily travel / life. I saw it explained once, but I honestly can't remember it all. Contesting it is basically like trying to contest a ticket; you usually won't get it dropped, but it might help to lessen the penalty. Think... "Bucko now has to stay a minimum of 250ft away at all times" instead of the original 500ft so they can still work / commute / whatever, but the other terms remain the same.
@stacys87293 жыл бұрын
You may want to contest a restraining order because you are against the statements in it, and you don't want it on your record. There is a such a thing as the abuser using courts to harrass. For example, imagine being victim of abuse and the abuser submits a restraining order saying you did a bunch of awful stuff. If u don't contest it, it's like admitting it's true. Plus he can then start showing up at places u go to, (library book club, your gym, favorite bar) and then call the police when u arrive if you don't leave.
@Mewse12033 жыл бұрын
No because people try to put restraining orders on people falsely all the time. In response to the fine for grabbing his insulin pump... I am a 44 year sufferer of Diabetes of a nature that was called brittle diabetes (a term that has been given a No-No head shake by the medical community). Brittle Diabetes meant that I could perform the exact same actions all day everyday and have radically different results anywhere from a 2.8 (50) to 18 (325) for doing the exact same things on different days (I have been told by an Endocrinologist the following "You could perform the exact same actions all day everyday and have radically different results" almost verbatim to what the description of brittle diabetes used to be). As a child I have gone into the hospital with an 44.4 (800) on one occasion and 33.3 (600). The differences between 2.8 and (50) is the current Canadian measuring system and (the current American measuring system. As an adult I was brought to the hospital with a starting blood sugar of 0 (zero) which means no blood pumping/electrical activity available to run my body. I can attest any blood sugar below or above comfortable norms can have huge effects on the brain and comfort of anyone. If I want to travel outside Canada I have to bring only sealed boxes of insulin, infusion sets (the device that goes in the body), reservoirs (the device which holds the insulin) and package my kit in a cold/pressure resistant container to be packed in the luggage (carry on not allowed). Oh in addition I also need all the prescription stickers on each package and a doctors written prescription for all the needed workings AND 2 cards that says "I have an insulin pump I am not just carrying it... I require it to be attached to my body to live" or words to that effect. TL/DR I don't travel anymore.

I had a second grade teacher who tortured me verbally in class. She would send me home every day crying because how terrible I would feel after she verbally braided me in front of the class. One day she had a worksheet for me to finish and she told me that I could not leave my desk until I had finished it. The time that she gave everyone else to finish it was fine but I couldn’t finish it. I have ADHD and dyslexia and at the time I couldn’t read. There was no way for me to finish the worksheet. When the rest of the class was done it was time for recess. I asked the teacher if I could go to the bathroom before recess and she told me that I couldn’t leave until I had finished my worksheet. I was so afraid of her that I didn’t leave the classroom. I sat in a dark room trying to finish the worksheet I couldn’t read and ended up peeing my pants in the classroom. When she came back she yelled at me for making a mess and then sent me to the nurses room where are these called my mom to bring me a change of clothes. The rest of my class didn’t know what happened because after recess they went straight to lunch. I ended up eating some snacks in the office before going back to class. The rest of the students asked me what happened and I was too embarrassed to tell anybody. The teacher told everyone including my mom that I had Peed my pants just before recess so that’s why I wasn’t in recess or lunch. I didn’t know that that’s what they told my mom. When I brought the incident up more than 20 years later my mom was furious because she never knew that that’s what the teacher did. She told me if I had told her what happened she would’ve murdered the teacher that day. It sickens me that there are still teachers like this around

Pro tip: Never let the garage associated with a tow do work on your car. Make arrangements for another tow truck to tow your car to a garage you trust. In many states (like mine) the garage can keep your car if they are not paid and they routinely lie about what was agreed to. Tow truck companies are also often times very close with the local politicians and work very closely with the local police, so they are very often "Protected". I had to get my truck towed out of a garage with my wheel disasembled because they took my car apart under the premise that they were going to give me an estimate to have work done, The estimate was for thousands, I said no thanks, they said I had to get the car out of the garage right then or else they were going to charge my $1000 a night storage fees. The other option was to have my work done there. Called the police, they acted like they worked for the guy. Got another tow truck, towed it to my regular garage, work was completed for less than $400. I later found out that the garage owner has all kinds of government contracts and is connected to local politicians and is corrupt as hell.

In the restraining order case the woman is NOT required to submit to the extensive questions that the lawyer was asking her and she could very easily have turn to the judge and said "not only do I object to this further line of questioning, I will not answer such invasive and extraneous questions. If you do not tell that lawyer to move on or keep the questions civil and pursuant to the abuse that I am reporting I will personally move for a vote of no confidence and take it up with not only the bar association but also the justice department. This is not being used to establish a crime, this line of questioning is being used to defame me." She would have then watched the whole court room fall silent and smile as her lawyer gave her the thumbs up. *steps down from my soapbox* thank you.

Either the husband realizes one glorious day what a bitch his wife is or he will be with her until the day he dies. Like sometimes you see an elderly couple where one person is such a rageoholic and the other person has just given up not even talking anymore.

my son has bladder exstrophy, he doesn't live with me cuz after coming out of shelter and going into the projects makes it hard to keep him safe from all the bug problems. anyways, he went to a school he loved and loved him very much and never had an issue with them until his last year in this elementary school . there was a new teacher who for some reason didn't like him. (i should also mention that mu son has ashburger idk how to spell that i'm sorry) she would yell at him and tell him he couldn't use the bathroom unless its time as a group. my son is due for surgery but got cancel recently (thanks corona) to fix his bladder so he wouldn't have to be embarrassed with accidents and be able to stay dry longer. my sister finally told me about this teacher and i lost my mind when i went to the school my sister already had his lawyer there. the school's excuse is that the teacher was new and didn't know my son's health issues tho she had his medical records on her desk in bright orange. on the day of graduation the teacher was being childish and ignored my child and was being rude to my family. again my sister didn't tell me cuz she knows how violent i can get when people messes with my kids. i think if school is going to hire teachers then they need to inform them about the kids medical needs if they cant do that then they shouldn't take the job

High BP can quickly cause coma and death! F around! The TSA are getting to be a bunch of bullies. One story showed a tiny little girl in a wheelchair and them wanting to give full body pat down. Disgusting, she was so upset she was crying she didn't want to go to Disney anymore she just wanted to go home. They cross the line. Smh

There were a couple cases of people trying to sneak bombs and illegal substances across in wheal chairs of adults and kids. TSA are not bullies It is a safety thing that they are required to do.
@kirstenornelas8814 жыл бұрын
@@beth-ug6ti It is fare enough that they need to do their job, the problem is not the fact they need to do their job though. The issue is the WAY they go about it is EXTREMELY unprofessional, disregards medical privacy laws and compliance and in many cases, like the little girl is done in such a manner that is not only degrading but for a little one is downright traumatic. There are ways that they could both perform their duties and at the same time not disregard the wellbeing of a toddler.
@beth-ug6ti4 жыл бұрын
@@kirstenornelas881 I honestly don't remember the story from this anymore so I can't say if it is unreasonable. But most TSA agents are very professional they just have really strict protocol and can get in big trouble really easily for not following it. I don't remember a story about a little girl, but the story about the diabetes patient. The TSA agents were doing what they should, it's on that lady for not informing her that she needed the pump on her body. For things like that you are supposed to have a medical exemption letting them know. The agent couldn't have known he serious it was for her to have her pump because she didn't even say anything. If sure they would have accommodated her if she mentioned she can only be without for a minute or two max.
@kirstenornelas8814 жыл бұрын
@@beth-ug6ti i don't remember the one about the diabetic anymore lol so I'm in the reverse position here lol. I do realize most are doing their job correctly. The issue for me is that the training in all places is not equal and this opens the door for inexperienced agents to make huge and lasting mistakes. It was on the news here locally not sure how far the story reached but the little girl was about 3 and they were very inappropriate with the way the went about the search on her personally. She was in so much distress that at three years old she was left crying that she wanted to just go back home and did not want to go to Disney anymore. It was pretty heart breaking to watch and the parents were trying to help make the situation go more smoothly but the agents would not even allow the child to hold their little stuffed toy (after the toy had been cleared) during the body search. And for me a toddler should not be put through that extent of a body search. Esp when they are so obviously disabled and in a tiny chair. I do understand and expect the chair to be cleared, the child to be cleared through x ray should have been enough as it usually is for the rest of us and she shouldn't have been touched the way she was. I'm not saying it happens a lot but what I am saying is these agents need to use their heads in specific situations. They also need to be more concerned about the wellbeing of the child when children are involved and if that means having somebody who is trained to work with children in stressful settings like this then that's what they need to do. No 3 year old should be so traumatized by a search that they no longer want to go see Disney land. For me that's way too far.

To the person who lost his mother to suicide. As someone else who responded earlier said, the experience will probably never go away completely. I experienced the los of my wife who simply died in her sleep. That was 27 years ago but it still comes up and bites me again every once in a while. More so in the recent past as we also lost my 10 year old grandaughter in the same fashion. The only way I could deal with that was realizing that grandmother and granddaughter are together now.

Re the violent ex if they sell they should have to disclose. I most definitely would not buy a house if this situation was current. I mean seriously who would want to put others at risk. This is not just about money and worrying if you were liable to pay. They should be worrying about putting the new buyers at risk. Sorry that part irritated me a bit. It is not just a financial issue it is a moral issue. So if they tried not to fully disclose I am sure they could be in big trouble and I think they should hiding this. I had situation when I bought my house and it was long after I bought it. Someone who the previous owner had a dispute with when he was drunk came banging on my door late at night. Now as I am a woman on my own it was frightening. I spoke through the door and said this person no longer lived here as I bought the house way back. He refused to listen and just kept saying I was a liar and started banging violently to the point where he destroyed my letter box. I was on the phone to the police terrified and looking out the window I saw a friend drag him away. His friend shouting out sorry. Goodness knows what would have happened if he got in. It was terrifying so no in this situation with it being current I would not put this on a prospective buyer without full disclosure. When I told the police he was leaving they said they would look around the area but they said no sign so I did not push it. They were a bit relaxed about it and I let it go however I think I should have pursued. I guess I just wanted to forget it.

You're not going anywhere if your timing belt is snapped. Car wont turn on, driving is impossible. I had a snapped timing belt on my SUV; the chances of the engine being in good condition were slim if the timing belt were replaced, and it would likely require completely replacing the engine. Please note that when this occurred I was in the middle of the freeway during rush hour. There was no way for me to drive out of there.

Sybil’s mother also wouldn’t let her go to the bathroom until the pain was so bad that she passed out and Peed on the floor. Yes you can really damage a kids bladder with backed up Pee. That’s why he Peed his pants because his body had to protect him and made him go. As a nurse, I had a 20 yr old who was on permanent dialysis due to a backed up bladder in the past

Ding dong dash: we had an ex of my son do this to us years back. We finally turned off the door bell so it didnt wake everyone up... she got so frustrated that there was no noise & went bizzerk... crimes were committed & cops finally arrived in time... It really is a shame that it takes violence before cops will do anything.

Uncle and OP should apply to be grandma's power of attorney. If the choice is between Mom, who has a history of in-patient psych care, vs uncle/granddaughter, then it's unlikely Mom would be chosen. (Though it sounds like things escalated quickly and Aunt is going to step in.)

Would even hallucinate me or my sister laughing or some stuff like that. Broke my sister's tablet after one big break one night. All because he thought there were meth in the tablet when there never was because my sister had it 24/7 there were more bad hallucinations but I don't wanna talk bout all of them.
