Is switching car insurance bad?

I'm a young driver in CA and I switched my car insurance from Geico to Progressive yesterday after watching my video. My monthly payment is about $55 with a $87 first time payment. It saved my more than 400 dollars in a 6 month period. Thank you!

I switch policies every policy period, because every time renewal comes up it goes 20-30% up for no reason. However switching to another policy provider fixes the problem and I get same price with the same coverage.

State Farm customer here, and about to leave them. I’ve been paying $170 for liability on a 12 year old truck for two years now. Then they started playing with my money after I turned 21. Dropped by $10, went up again to $190, down again to $180, back up to $195. Month to month they continue to change and when I brought it up I was told I was lying lmao. I told em they could sit on one 😉😂

Went from Geico $451 to Progressive $333 for two trucks. Best to shop around once a year.

If you live in DE, LA, MA, NC, and NY be careful. Those states require you sign cancellation documents when you switch. Also in NC, you may get hit with a short rate cancellation fee if you cancel your policy before your renewal.

I failed:/ I swear they have lawyers write their test questions to purposely make it unnecessarily hard. I passed my practice test so I was not expecting that at all.

It is one of the hardest tests out there. Take the sectors you did worst on and improve. Sounds like you just need another go at it :0)

It's crazy how location play a big role in your rate. Or maybe I'm just getting rob lol. I moved about 20 miles out (more into the cities) and my rate went up. I use to pay 130 per month for 2 car and now I'm paying 210 per month. And now I'm here watch these videos lol

You can change insurance anytime. If you’re paid ahead of time they will likely owe you money back

I was hit on video by an AmFam driver while on my bicycle. I'm also an AmFam customer. They will not give me enough to replace my bike. What are my options?

First option is to review your coverage and determine if you are covered for replacement cost(stated value) or ACV(actual cash value). If it’s replacement cost then whatever your stated value is, that’s all you are covered up to. If ACV I would discuss with your adjuster and show them proof that the value they estimate is not correct. If they still won’t and you know it’s wrong, the last option I can think of is, you would need to hire a claims lawyer.

It doesn’t sound like that part has much, if anything, to do with both of the claims with the same company. It’s more so how they are coming up with your bikes value. If they’re wrong, I would discuss it with the adjuster. They will likely want proof on your end to show the difference you’re coming up with.

@@ThinkInsurance I showed the adjuster proof by way of the Bicycle Blue Book (same source they used). Problem is that my bike is fairly rare. I've been watching since it happened and not one has been for sale on CL or FB used. So I showed them what a new one costs and they say that they've given their best offer. Anyway, thanks for the advice. I dig your channel . Too bad your not in MN.
