indian food varies with each state and ethnicity. this episode specifically covers punjab state. punjabi dishes are mild in taste and the most popular 'indian' food around the world is punjabi food except south east asia. OTH,, south india has 5 states, with their own individual cuisine. it is one of the spiciest cuisines in india. and is very famous in south east asia, due to historic reasons.

Spectacular video of a such a wide variety of Indian cuisine!! Love the stories behind some dishes and watching the chefs turn out such delicious dishes, not just pleasing to the eye but to the palates of the customers. Now you know this video has made everyone crave some Indian food. At the moment I’m no where close to an Indian food Restraunt but the moment I get to a large town that has one, I will be paying a visit.!Thank you Mark for educating your viewers about cultural foods of the world!

Hi betty, Pleasantly surprised to know that people from arkansas are watching international food videos. Are there indian restaurants in arkansas? I've heard that arkansas is a very conservative place in america and not very open to other cultutres etc etc. Is there any truth to that?
@bjclassic19502 жыл бұрын
@@vv6533 I can only vouch for the northwest counties, Benton & Washington. We have a favorite Indian Restraunt in Bentonville called Flavors with wonderful Indian dishes. There’s a small Indian supermarket and another small International market and numerous Asian markets that sell spices, fresh products and products from the respective countries. So many new cafes, Restraunt’s have opened in the last Several yrs, Korean, Thai, Mediterranean, Philippines and more. Lots of ethnic food trucks as well. I attribute so much of the diversity of cultures because this is the headquarters of Walmart. Many vendors from the world live here and many fly in and out of the area year around. There’s a large group of foodies that share a lot of things in Instagram and FB to spread the word of what’s new to the areas. I traveled alot growing up and then traveled as an adult as a USArmy wife. Seriously ate my first Cuban foods in Lawton, Ok in ‘68-69, Home to Ft Sill. One can always find multi cultural places to eat in any military towns. I’ve raised my 2 kids the same and they have the same love for different foods. We make attempts to learn how to cook some favorites. At the moment I’m visiting in eastern Arizona and not much to pick from until we go to a larger city north. I have friends back in Ar who never try anything new and it’s a sad thing. Exploring different cultures and their foods is educational and delightful. I was born in SW Louisiana and lived many yrs in New Orleans area before moving to Ar. Some of the best food in the world can be found in New Orleans. Thank you for your reply Vivek and never pass an opportunity to experience something new👍😁

@@bjclassic1950 fascinating to know about you and your family. Be blessed. I've a lot to learn from people like you and be more open minded and embrace diversity. That's why I love America. And I always want my country to have a close and good relationship with the US. I always do my due diligence before believing others opinion. Now I'm getting a very good impression of Arkansas or at least the counties you live in. Of course there are few bad apples everywhere in the world. So it's ridiculous to generalize a whole state by the behaviour of few. Keep exploring and never stop. I have a huge respect for American soldiers who are honest, decent and hardworking. Glad to know that you're from a military family. Would love to visit US someday and explore the southern US cuisine which is pretty popular I've heard.
