Mark, I've been watching your videos for a number of years now, and I continue to be amazed at the wonderful yet simple stuff you demonstrate in them, again and again and again!

Same here. And also it is impressive what results you yield even when only including a few of his exercises in your workout. I always had a weak shoulder girdle and problems with pain between the shoulders (most likely the upper erector spinae, even though most people assume trapezius or latissimus dorsi). Since I do some of his kettlebell exercises that is mostly gone. Something years of training with different machines and dumbbells couldn’t fix.

Good morning Mark, once again thank you for the immense work you are doing in disseminating the correct practice of heavy clubs. I see that there isn't much information about it around the world, in Europe very little, in Italy practically nothing. I am following your MILL SQUAT PROGRAM with enthusiasm and passion however I am constantly looking for exercises/movements that intensely work the core and this must be fantastic. Am I wrong if I add it at the end of the mill squat program, perhaps organizing it into sets x reps? Would that be superfluous? Thanks for all!!! Respect.

Mark gives such good content! And i love how no matter the weight, he always holds the weight with one hand while physically showing you where to flex or lock muscles! Haha beast.

Excellent video. Right now I cannot afford to get an adjustable club, but I do have an adjustable mace.

i had knee surgery recently and the range of motion of the operated knee took a lot of work to come back to normal. before gaining confidence for squats i was already doing the presses from the low position and it helped me progress a lot

This got me wondering about an overhead squat with a clubbell or mace. Man, I bet that would be a hard one but super beneficial -- I think with just a stick it's hard so working up to a light implement would be a good goal worth shooting for.

I would think it would hard to practice an overhead squat when the main problem is flexibility…the front of my body/chest/shoulders won’t stretch enough to go very far without arms moving forward and down.

Now here's a question that comes to mind for me. Would you do or see the function in doing a single arm club squat press. I do single arm club squats and at each weight jump it's a challenge again, but I envision a press in the middle being a little intense and not sure of the benefit of it other than adding complexity.

You can’t do it if you don’t have heavier weights it’s fun, it’s just mostly for fun or warm up at the way to people can actually accomplish the task well at

This one is done for time under tension. Usually 30 seconds is the goal time under tension and then the goal is to get faster in the same amount of time.

Is there a handedness to the movement? I’m left handed so my left hand on top is more natural for me.

So yes, you can go a lot lower because the center of gravity is so much more, and as you said... you "lean back" significantly more than a back, or even a front, squat. Meaning a lot less range of motion is needed in the ankles. 98% of the time, it's ankle mobility holding people back from a deep squat. Another way to get low is to use a wedge to lift your heels.

What is your opinion of Turkish squats where the heels leave the floor during squat? While on the subject, can you talk about Turkish squats, Turkish push-ups, and the full back bridge popular with combat/catch wrestling?

Why pull the weight back in at all??? I assume some stimulus is due to the body having to adjust to uncentered/unslung weight? I'm not in good shape and I just did this with A 40lb kettlebell without any issue? What am I missing?
