I HEARD you say (in section 1's video) it doesn't matter which way you choose to do your shawl, as written or using the small changes you made. I really want to say thank you for taking the TIME from your family to lead us through this KAL. It's my first ever. Yes, I would say I'm an experienced knitter, but people JUST LISTEN to what Marly is saying. She said it didn't matter which way you did it as long as you were doing it the same way throughout the project. She won't lead us in the wrong direction. Once again, Thank you so much. It's been fun so far...

This is my first kal. I'm not very experienced but I could totally follow along with you on the video. Thank you so much for your clear instructions. You are an awesome instructor.

lol...ok newbie here...I was doing video with pattern thinking I was missing something as I am trying to learn to read patterns and kept getting more stitches with combing both. LOL....I have taken out and re did everything almost 10 times. All along thinking to myself watch the Q&A. Finally decided to watch. Boy do I feel silly. On a positive, I can do the garter tab and kfb now without watching instructions! Thank you. The instructions are great just my interpretation is off.

+Lisa G oh no!!! I'm.glas you're on track now. Did you print the updated line by line instructions? They include another table that has the instructions written on it as I taught it I'm the video. :)

Thank you so much for that. New knitter here. I'm still working in my big comfy sweater, however this is my next big project because it's cute and I believe I can do it according to your teaching style

Haha, okay Marly now I understand, you explained it beautifully. As you say I'm an experienced knitter and follow patterns to the letter, and I'm always counting stitches just in case, good idea to tell beginners to count else they will be in trouble lol....

As the saying goes Marly, "Sometimes less is more." When a pattern gets too wordy it confuses me, even with my 50+ years of knitting & crocheting. Your explanation was very clear . However, I did get a little confused towards the end, when you said ''k2tg, rather than Kfb'. After re-reading the pattern, I figured it was a slip.

It totally was a slip of the tongue. Honest mistake.

and it sucks that youtube has taken away the annotations option to let you know it was an oops.

Gee! I knew it was an "oops" as soon as you said it. No worries. You are great.

It seems odd to me that an experienced knitter would want you to clarify your very clear instructions. Consider that sometimes you will have people on you tube that just want to be difficult. So sad that you had to use time for this video to explain what wasn't broken!
