I think there's a big problem surrounding the issue of "respect." A lot of 20/30-something Muslim men from traditional families think that word revolves around them, and don't truly understand that it needs to go 2 ways. When an empowered Muslim woman speaks up for herself & her rights, she's deemed as being "disrespectful!"

musicfordreamers I agree I’m a Muslim man in a lot of cultures the men think they are superior , they use the women to cook and make tea etc and think thats they’re job , that’s why a lot of non Muslims think that Islam is bad , the prophet was a beautiful man he treated his wife like queens , women are the backbone of humanity

As to my opinion There a very very very less marriage talks as regards to the boys/men and how to be a good husband, all we grow up hearing is a woman has to do this for their husband do that and that and for me it’s really gets me thinking whether we a just slaves to men especially in African cultures. Men grow up ignorant of how to treat a woman because they have a superiority inside of them, they grow up thinking they a the boss yet in-front of Allah we have obligations towards each other. And to be honest this is why many women now prefer to be independent and a scared of getting into marriage because of these one sided talks Thank u sisters

@lavarball75383 жыл бұрын
The problem with independence sister is you hit the wall and at age 35 women have high risk pregnancies, so you have to get married young in order to have a family as your body is in prime mode then. So independent single women are usually financially ok, most women don’t have Careers they have “jobs” and jobs aren’t enough to retire on when old. So independent women end up lonely and can’t create a family of their own anymore and die alone
@artisthusnatalal30995 жыл бұрын
*I started to be proposed since I was 17 but I went all the way passing through many proposals that failed again and again and again just because I was the youngest and they didn't want me to marry before my 2 elder siblings (This is another problem in some families). My proposals were blocked everytime till in my early 30s is when I got married. But Alhamdulillah I thank Allah for everything and I pray our marriage to last till death do us apart Ameen yaa rabb!. For those who are not married have patience every good thing comes with difficulties and pray a lot you might be having enemies who don't see any good to reach you. Surah BAQARAH, IKHLAS, FALAQ NNAS will protect you from evil eyes. Remember to always stay HALAL*

I wonder which country are you originally from? What people are those who don't allow their daughter to get marriage because there are two or more sisters in front of her. This is like the Muslim The View. Love it. Also another big issue within the Muslim community is that we have “older” women (30 plus for example) in the community who are looking for husbands older than them....but it’s these “older” men that are only interested in women who are young and in their twenties. And with their good jobs and financial stability, these young ladies are also interested in these older men. So it leaves the “older” women just hanging around and struggling to find someone.

Afshi sister, I agree partially. Why don´t anyone speak about how a big amount of Muslim men prefer white non-Muslim ladies, and therefore, there are even less men for Muslim women to marry. The thing is that we HAVE TO marry Muslim men, so if they don´t choose us, it becomes very difficult. What´s left is often those uneducated ones who are just seeking to come to Europe and who will be eternally frustrated because they don´t even know the language while the wife will be doing all the work both outside and inside the home. Also, I don´t agree that every Muslim woman 30+ is looking for an older man. MANY are not. Those are exactly the kind of men they know grew up entitled and with mothers basically tied to the stove. These women are highly educated and independent, so they don´t need a man to take care of her economically. They just need a God-fearing husband who believes in equality and that women are more than just an age. I think it´s just a bad bad time for Muslim women. The best situation is for converts (because our men desire them and will marry them just because of being white, age and sexual experience won´t even matter) and for uneducated girls from poor countries that come as import-wives and don´t expect anything but to go back home and be able to brag about being a "foreigner" now.

musicfordreamers hehe same over here sis. But i secretly think that people are actually dating. Even if they are set up by family or friends. 1/10 probably do it the prescribed way. And people probably go on multiple dates. We only see the wedding or engagement party, while people went through a few struggles to be at that point. At this point i’m trying to be happy with my life and myself. And all i keep saying to myself is: in sha Allah, i will get everything i want in Jannah. That’s the only thing that keeps me motivated to even not think about marriage. It might sound sad. But i aint gonna do haram stuff to make it halal. I’ve also said to a few friends and colleagues to keep an eye on a ‘candidate’. No luck so far.

Don’t do sex before marriage. Always avoid people who just drive you into moment but look or engage people who like you for longtime relationships. Also, friendships can be bad influence to you so be careful who is your friends and what is their behavior.

Ya Allah i just wanna say thank you SO MUCH for this! You guys took the words right out of my mouth, and now I don't feel so alone anymore. These are my exact thoughts about the Muslim community when it comes to marriage. Unfortunately, the older people around me, both men and women don't seem to understand these issues and they tend to treat women like they're only worthy as a maid. Their understanding of a woman's role in a marriage is that of a maid. Sadly, my own grandma thinks as such. So thank you for this, Alhamdulillah I found your channel. This is my first ever video of your channel, so you got yourself a new subscriber! Yeay! Haha Love from Malaysia ❤

Dating in it's acctual meaning is haram, so please don't confonde that But the fact that u wana to know the other person and stuff is ok , speacialy if he or she is in your entourage, in a respectful way not like going out and have fub and touching and so on .. Sahaba did that Hope i'm cleare, i'm french girl so my english isn't so good 😊 Have a Nice day

You can't get to know someone "well." Until you marry them. People will put up "masks." And try to impress you through out the process. Knowing someone for who they truly are can only be attained by marrying the person and seeing them in their natural ways;with family, at home, when their mad, sad, etc. Because when you meet someone who your interested in, you look to impress. And you most likely won't show your uncomfortable/bad sides. :)

Chux Bouch sister by saying dating is halal i don’t mean the western ways bf and gf stuff, getting to know each other and exploring them to realize if he is the one for you that’s all 😆 the world is nt same anymore we’re in 21 centery not the Sahaba time where everyone was pure and holy
@Khwaab4 жыл бұрын
You´re right Last Queen. I date with a mahram in tow. But with "date", I mean meeting up at a restaurant full of people and keeping within halal bounds. My mahrams sits a few tables away, just making sure I´m not being treated badly. Then I bombard the guy with questions, LOL! And when at home, I do istikharah about the guy. I feel like guys respect me more because I tell them about the mahram right away. It also takes care of the jokers who are not serious at all..they flee at the mention of a mahram! I think some people still haven´t heard about halaal dating. Regarding the sahaba, no sister, you´d be surprised..they were great people but even they made mistakes. There are ahadith about sahaba who actually made a mistake with a woman, but as he repented sincerely, he was back on the good path. They were very human and real in their struggles, and that´s why it´s important to read up on their lives.
