I doubt that against the Vikings, especially given the Rams won earlier that season plus given the Rams beat the Vikings in the 1999 playoffs (this 2000 offense was much much better, although the defense was worse) but especially given the Vikings NFC history..... 1998 😎😄

Awesome. Rams basically started the playoffs this day. Had to win, and hope the Bears beat the Lions. I remember Marshall Faulk after the game getting the news on the field as he was doing the postgame interview with Pam Oliver. Then he put his game face back on, and said "YES!!! RECORDS DON'T MATTER NOW!!!"

If the NFL had been a lot more concerned with the geographic accuracy of the divisions in determining the new alignment, this would have been the alignment: AFC: E: BUF, NE, NYJ, PIT N: CIN, CLE, IND, KC S: CAR, JAX, MIA, TEN W: DEN, HOU, OAK, SD NFC: E: BAL, NYG, PHI, WAS N: CHI, DET, GB, MIN S: ATL, NO, STL, TB W: ARI, DAL, SF, SEA The Rams would have been right at home in the NFC South as Missouri was a slave state prior to the Civil War. Rams-Saints games between 1995-2015 had the added element of both teams being on the Mississippi River. With the Rams returning to LA, they would move back into the NFC West and the Cowboys into the NFC South, thus ending the Rams-Saints divisional rivalry after 46 seasons.
