Another thing that I would also argue to is that adding those super range of motion exercises does have an added benefit on helping with strengthening of ligaments and tendons around certain joints as well as adding a level of flexibility that way when you go and do heavy compound movements it's a lot more comfortable and it just feels overall better but that's off personal preference and from studies that I have looked at
@MonkeyyFN
@MonkeyyFN 4 ай бұрын
My top 10, with variations OHP (Standing, alternate between barbell and dumbell) Bench press (Alternate between dumbbell and barbell, incline and flat, change grip width) Squat (Alternate between front squats, back squats, low bar/high bar, zercher squats) Deadlift (Alternate between rdls, deadlifts, stiff legged, dumbbells) Single Leg (Alternate between bulgarians and lunges, dumbells or barbells) Weighted dip (Alternate between low and high reps) Weighted pull up (Alternate low and high reps, alternate grip width) Lateral raise (Alternate Dumbbell or cable) Face pulls (Cable) Bicep curl (Alternate between barbell, dumbell, ez bar, cheat/eccentric reps, incline bench or standing, elbow positioning) I would replace one of these isolations with a clean variation if you're an athlete, but I don't want to put any farmer walks or anti rotation movements in this list because there's already heavy grip demand from all of these lifts especially if you are strong. Anti rotational movements are also for athletes.

Also I say this a lot whether it's on your videos or other videos but trying to isolate a muscle to strengthen it in that way and then go to a compound movement does help if you're only using an isolated movement just for the reason of thinking you're going to get stronger overall I think it's a very skewed way of looking at it but in this particular case doing shoulder presses seated to isolate more of the shoulders in a strict position and having that aid you in your overhead barbell shoulder press so I do agree with you on that

A) Cambered Bar Bench isn't a "super range of motion" it just takes the slightly larger ROM you'd get from Dumbbells and adds the stability of a Barbell. B) If the squats, barbell rows, pull-ups and stiff legged deadlifts offer such little core demand that you need to add carries, then there's no reason to favour these variations over machines because of that core demand. Conversely, if these exercises do have such a great core benefit that can't be replicated using machines, then you shouldn't need to add carries.

Dude am not gonna lie i 2:55 thought these core hitting standing variations(O.H standing prese) were bs until few months earlier i incorporated them into ny routine, tho am not a good fighter i realised that even when am goofyingly sparring with me friends or playing sports i am much harder to be tackled to the ground or fall due to balance and overrall just feel mich more tough like i remember tanking a spartan like kick from my 190 lb friend and i just took a slight knockback thi i was confident i would be sent rolling half way across the street. So overall the exercise you guys recommend are surely good fit in amy routine to just become more tough and enduring overtime (for the record am 174 cm at 156 pounds as a 17 year old)

I feel like your workout is missing some stuff. For you first day I would include 1 or 2 bicep isolation exercises, like curls and hammer curls, and a forearm exercise such as farmer walks. But you're still hitting the biceps and forearms, but not quite specifically. Your second day is missing a rear delt exercise. Unless if you already hit them in your back day by doing different variations of rows, you should include something like a face pull or some other wide pulling exercise, where your arm is in line with your upper back in order to hit the rear delts. And I recommend doing a overhead press too for a solid compound shoulder exercise. And I think your third day is fine in my opinion (respect to you for doing walking lunges I hate that shit). I give your current workout a 7.5/10

Dips can replace bench, ohp and all triceps exercies. Especially weighted dips. 3 in 1.

BJJ by itself is soy. If you combine it it is fine but people who do it by itself are scared to get hit in the face so they do BJJ so they can claim they do a “martial art”. People who do BJJ only are nerds and my point is proven here 😂

@@MartinRiosFit so what do you have to say about the Gracie brothers who help start the UfC and did BJJ I can tell you and your brother have not been around long enough in mma or the UfC and never fought in a real professional fight

@@MartinRiosFit you don’t even have a solid point you just show off how you have zero ground game at all and won’t last in a real professional if you went to the UFC ☠️ even GSP back then learned he needed more ground game learned BJJ after his lost to Matt Hughes and he learned from one of the Gracie family

Well you should look Kron Gracie’s recent fight. These guys that do BJJ on it’s own are not Charles Oliviera, they are this dude kron gracie who are scared to strike. Many bodybuilders do BJJ cause they are scared to actually fight. BJJ is a great martial art, they people who ONLY do BJJ are soy.

@@MartinRiosFit and you still haven’t made a point just nothing but assumptions and opinions and hiding the fact you have zero ground game MMA isn’t a striking game only either
