I believe John walker's enhancements actually made him well above cap in physical strength and regeneration. In fact, it seems the ultimate universe cap is kind of an amalgamation of the 616 cap and US agent, both in his attitude and more so in his physical strength being far greater than 616 cap's.
@uncleterb71282 жыл бұрын
Nice man good job. A few things on JW though, after his augmentation received by the power broked he had close to 15 times steve rogers strength. He also never intentionally hurt anyone as CA except after his parents were deliberately gunned down infront of him - and who wouldn't. He was certainly not a 'poor mans' captain america or steve rogers.. he was CA in his own right with just as much depth of character and general awesomeness. The version marvel had portrayed on the falcon and winter solder series is a shadow of the original character from the comics.

The main difference between John and Steve is their time period. I do believe that he does want to protect America and make it safe but due to the type of warfare he fought in, most likely being Iraq it’s modeled him into a more angry and ‘split’ person. In comparison to Steve who lived in a simpler time, design everything in black and white, making it easier to understand the situation. In essence it’s the time period, war now is not the same by a long shot, their are dangerous things around every corner now which can really mess up a person, John is that type of complex character, someone who does believe in Captain America’s message but has been changed due to his circumstances

Falcon & Winter Soldier show seem to have taken this take of Walker as not being bad but also not being squeaky clean either. Remains to be seen how far he is willing to go to push his (and the US Govs) view of Captain AMerica vs Sam Wilson. First time I noticed that the artists continually got the facing of the American flag wrong on the right shoulder in the comics. In the US Military basically, the idea behind the backward American flag on Army uniforms is to make it look as though the flag is flying in the breeze as the person wearing it moves forward. The rule is that the blue field of stars should always be in the highest position of honor on the uniform. That position has always been the right shoulder with the flag's blue stars facing forward. I'm surprised so many artists have got this wrong over the decades.

I don't really know if I'm expressing it correctly, but I feel like just hearing this whole summary really teaches a lot about American society and culture as a whole throughout the ages. Since the writers usually want to let their readers be able to relate to what was going on in the comics, all those fears and paranoia in reality throughout those times get reflected into the comics.
