Clint's character development here is similar to that of Bucky in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. They both are trying to lead somewhat normal lives after all the events up to Endgame. They are both dealing with the loss of their best friends. They are both hesitant to engage in new relationships. They are both reluctant heroes (they both are just guys doing their jobs). Looking forward to how this ties into other future projects... other than fhe obvious.

Clint was clearly kidnapped on purpose, he said he was going to do a "catch and release" which I first assumed meant he was going to catch someone, but when he didn't put up a fight when being captured it was pretty clear that he was the one he intended to be "caught" in order to meet with the boss.

I'm thinking the MCU is going to change him and stuff and it's revealed Jack is a red herring. I want to say that either the uncle faked his death, or it's Kate's mom that Kate is after. The back-and-forth between Kate and her mom in the first episode just seemed off and building tension that could lead to some big reveal that Kate's mom is the main villain of the show or the second main villain. Plus some showdown between the two.

Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova shall appear in the second half of this Season 1. As per “Black Widow” post-credit scene, she is assigned by her handler: Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine @ Val to exact revenge for Natasha Romanoff’s death. Yelena is handed a tablet showing an image of Clinton Francis Barton in his full Ronin gear without his mask. It means that Yelena and Val are aware that Hawkeye and Ronin is actually the same person. Whereas in Episode 1, the black market auctioneer made it obvious that the general public is not aware of this. Yelena is being manipulated to assassinate Clint as details of what transpired on Vormir is only known to the Avengers. Maya Lopez @ Echo played by Alaqua Cox will be getting her own spinoff show after this.

If Kate was five when she took martial arts, which was in 2012, and *Hawkeye* is set in 2024/2025, she should be 18 at maximum, assuming that she didn't blip, so either she lied about her age to Clint, or the writers made a serious timeline issue.
