Verify that you are are using Maschine 2.12. you can toggle by hitting the "E" key. Silence is created by using the clips feature. If you are in song-view, working off that timeline with patterns, a clip can be created on top of the pattern. In my case i chose to leave the clip empty which created a mute.

Can you convert clips to patterns or not?

Unfortunately no, patterns can be only converted to clips, but you can copy the sounds notes from the clips and paste the to a pattern.

Can I move clips to scene? Can I use scenes and patterns with acapella clips not on scene? At the moment looks like Acapella moves when adding scene. Thx alot

Yes, clips are able to be move freely across the timeline. Also you are able to use scenes and patterns with acapella clip. Yes if you move the scenes around while having that acapella clip it will break that acapella clip unfortunately. You will have to make some chops .

I know I can move clip freely on same track but let say if you wanna make instrument layers with same notes by copying content to different group it doesn't work or if you want copy many clips to another instrument with same group you can't do that too, right.

I've been reading around since the release of the 2.12 update and it seems like a lot of Maschine users know that Clips are useful but some users can't figure out how Clips can speed up their workflow or how to use Clips in creative ways. More videos on using Clips would help a lot of Maschine users.

Yes, select (highlight) all sounds in group, go to pitch/envelope and you can adjust the tune of the drums "globally" for that particular group

In the top left hand corner you will see "MASCHINE" right next to it there are 3 icons, one that looks like a magnify glass. That enables you to show/hide browser window in Maschine

Sometimes when i wanna add some sounds towards the end of an 8 bar build up like some crashes When i automate it in It silences the other sounds that previously been added The crashes are put in but its like it mutes all tge other sounds Why is that? Clips will overwrite a pattern. If you are adding sounds, convert pattern to clip then add sounds.

Learning a lot from you dude, I asked the question of copying the automation to different groups... I should word it differently... Lets say Filter right - Cutoff I have a clean automation I like. If I wanted the same automation on the Resonance could I copy that or do I have to fight a crazy battle to get it sounding EXACTLY the way I would want?

The short answer is no. At the the sound level, yes kinda. The routing is tricky, but you would duplicate the sound slot in Maschine. Erase all notes but not the automation. Then you would route sound 1 to sound 2. Finally, change the automation parameter below. Not sure if this is 100% accurate but in your case it should work .

Not necessarily, you do not have to convert clips.This is one technique out of many. Clips focus on transitions across scenes in a linear fashion.

This makes no sense. You don’t have to use clips. You can use the old way just fine. Clips give you extra options on top of what you already use.

eclipxe It was over-dubbing (erasing) the pattern I already had down. Not sure whats up w/ it. I’ll eventually find a work-around & adjust my work flow, but initially... very fucking annoying. I can see the benefits of clips in other aspects, effects, songwriting, etc... but right off the bat not loving it.
