Maserati Hubs

A closer look at the Rudge hubs and the hub puller used for removing them. To split the taper requires a lot of energy in engineering terms. So a good puller is needed. With the hubs off the car we can see just how worn they are.

The studs on the new hub do not appear to be the same as the old hub. Thanks for posting and stay warm to cold for this old man 😂😂👍

Well spotted ! You are correct the new hubs have 8x1.25 mm studs the original ones are 8x1 mm. Not a problem as I will fit new nuts .

I would stick with the fine thread as it has a higher torque but obviously know exactly what you are doing.

Loving the new format Mark. Very snappy, although voice could use a boost in editing. The new studs are longer and seem to have a different thread pitch, was that intentional?

Thank you. Sound levels are very tricky especially as it seems to change when the edit is uploaded. Perhaps this is why so many KZbinrs shout all the time ! Or could that just be an ego thing ? You’re correct about the studs but I don’t think it’s going to cause any problems and I will use 8x1.25mm nuts with a little Loctite. Please keep the comments coming and we will try to make the channel the best it can be !

@@marksitaliangarage KZbin will be setting their peak level based on the loudest passage, so maybe try reducing the level of the intro music. Don't want to sound like I'm whining but being slightly deaf I often have to adjust the volume knob when watching YT due to audio variations, it's a common problem. Loctite should work, yep.
