A good way to see the stove build, faster and more concise, but not forgetting all the huge effort to perfect the finished build. It looks absolutely beautiful Martijn, you must be very proud. And I can almost smell that bread!! It was also beautiful, but very sad, to see the black chicken again, before the dog attack. You can really see how much bigger the white and brown hens have grown since little Blackie was killed. A lot has happened, and when you see time reduced like this it shows very clearly how hard you have worked to get where you are today. Well done, and thank you for the huge amount of work you put into producing the videos for us each week. To do all that on top of your physical efforts on the build is truly a testament to you Martijn.

I was surprised to see the stove build this week...my plan is to introduce this in my build in western Canada where the temperatures are mid range through out the year as we are mountainous prairie conditions here, however, be interesting to see how this stands up to our seasonals and winter here, may need some backup but looking forward to the heat this produces as well. Nice to see this episode in a build all of its own from start to finish which will be included in a must see video to my builders who assemble mine here. Thanks for the memory and recap. Martijn, this build is by far the most impressive work I've seen in my 50 years and counting as a builder and now building sciences engineer. It must be the mountain air in addition to dedication and a will to do better. Cheers

The building of the masonry stove separate is a work of art.....the stove AND the filming of the build such a pleasure to see the whole poetic process. Such stand-alone episodes deserve their own day of the week to note video focus is "different" somehow. The building of the fire, such a sensory experience, such a symbolic one as well. I met the proprietor of Tempcast 20 years ago at a log home convention in Ohio. I eventually purchased on of these units when I built my own custom home. I was incredibly impressed with the engineering of the pieces. My understanding is that the crushed gravel for the concrete mixture comes from a quarry in Georgia, USA. When I Had a young family we cooked many excellent pizzas in the upper bake oven. Average cook time was 4-5 minutes once the fire in the combustion chamber died down. Those are great memories for me. Putting the pieces together with refractory cement, ratchet straps and packing tape then mixing mortar for my father who laid the bricks for me. I even drove up to Canada to pick up the unit in my pickup which I still drive today. That was pre Trudeau and after 911 when a passport was not required.
