They would have to make most of the fighting cutscenes different so maybe there was this idea but it was too late to make it before the release. Same with the default assault rifle in cutscenes. @RogerRoger1829 жыл бұрын
TheRomanRuler We can only hope. But I won't get my hopes up. Bioware does not really care what it's own gamers think. Look, the ME3 ending was bad (the worst I've seen IMO), but I can forgive Bioware for that. What I can't forgive is Bioware brushing of any form of (constructive) criticism of it's games as a "vocal minority". So I don't expect much of ME4...but I'm open to be pleasantly surprised.
@TheRomanRuler9 жыл бұрын
RogerRoger182 Yeah. But lets not blame Bioware too much, we must remember that it is Evil Ass=EA that owns Bioware and often ruins games.
@RogerRoger1829 жыл бұрын
TheRomanRuler Hm. EA has screwed up a lot of games., but in the case of the ME-trilogy they are not that much to blame. I personally think that most Bioware "fanboys" can't accept the fact that Bioware themselves screwed up and need someone else to blame. An easy scapegoat: EA. ME1 was a game that walked the line between RPG and shooter, between Story and combat. Bioware stated after ME1 that they wanted to move in a Gears of War direction, meaning: less story, more combat. This was Bioware's choice, not EA's. EA simply facilitated Bioware's request to make ME2 and 3 more combat and less story. It is true that EA put a lot of pressure on Bioware to finish ME3 early, that's where EA is to blame in my opinion. But the quality of the ME3 ending is still Bioware's responsibility. Why, you ask? Bioware promised us a planned trilogy. But the ending showed us that was not the case. The (unreasoneable) pressure that EA provided merely unmasked the fact that Bioware was winging it. Because of the pressure they made up the ending last minute. And by last minute I mean that Bioware had no idea what they were going to do with the ending before they started devleloping ME3. If the trilogy was planned as promised, Bioware would not have to make something up last minute. If the trilogy would have been planned the pressure EA provided would not have resulted in such a terrible ending, because they would have had the ending ready from the get go. The Extended Cut even gave Bioware a chance to make things right. But instead they held on to the starchild with his insane logic and flawed solutions. They even put in the refusal ending wich was nothing more than Bioware giving us the finger for not liking their Original ending. The EC proved that the starchild was what Mac Walters and Casey Hudson had in mind for the ending. They even build furhter upon this idea with the Leviathan DLC. Again: the ending was the idea of Bioware. Of course the pressure from EA made the Original dlc-free ending extremely sloppy. But even with the EC and Leviathan it is still flawed, again proving that Bioware is the one to blame, not EA. So In my opinion Bioware is mostly to blame. The ME3 ending, including the EC and Leviathan, was nothing more than Casey Hudsons and Mac Walters's fanfiction. You can;t blame EA for that.

Just Petrusion I actually think of Sentinels and Infiltrators as specialists, it's the same expertise applied differently to different disciplines. Otherwise, how come Sentinels are the only characters with tech armor? If they are only "half" an engineer, engineers should also have that tech ability. Garrus is a turian rebel, yet lore wise, he's one of the best engineers on the Normandy. You'd think that someone who could muster the strength and mental focus to use biotics, to literally influence the world with his mind, while also able to study advanced engineering with enough expertise to hack synthetics and use tech armor, would have the mental acumen and wherewithal to perform such a outstanding feat. Infiltrators and Sentinals are more than half of anything, and they are certainly the farthest thing from a "dumb grunt" as both classes require flexible and creative thinking to use effectively.

***** see? this is what I am talking about. This guy doesn't get what specialisation means. Of course that is how it works! Have you ever heard "jack of all trades, master of none"? That is exactly infiltrator and sentinel. You just can't be illustrious grand master at many things at once. Sure, you can bee good, even expert, at many things, but NOBODY is better in tech than an engineer.
@lolas.70247 жыл бұрын
+Aniken Voidwalker "So , if i am an tech expert but i also know how to do other things my effectiveness will be less than just a tech expert? That doesn't make much sense." - Aniken Voidwalker it does make sense I'm going to keep it simple. Tali VS Garrus they're both tech specialists. whose better (or more "effective"?) at tech? Tali or Garrus? *ME1 combat stats shows Tali > Garrus* Tali is an engineer Garrus is a tech expert, but his focus, like the infiltrator, is on omnitools. Basically, he's a tech and weapons expert but he sure as hell isn't on par with an engineer when it comes to tech. so yes, *of course your effectiveness in tech would be less* there's a limited amt of time in a day, you need to decide what you will put your time and energy into. *so just because the sentinel and infiltrator also specialize in tech their mastery of tech will vary depending on their focus within tech.*

I DEMAND more of this in the next ME game. Class specific prompts that change the story in your favor. Could even work it into combat. Like Engineers and Infiltrators can hack doors to get an edge on an enemy position. Whereas an Adept can just collapse the floor and thin out the numbers. But Soldiers and Vanguards are true tough armored badasses that can just take 'em head on. Sentinels don't get anything at all. Cuz Sentinels suck. j/k Not really.
@eitkoml9 жыл бұрын
Hopefully it could be pulled off. Unfortunately I see it getting very messy very fast outside of DLCs like this, which are fairly contained from spreading too much into a man game. I demand to see more class specific prompts that fundamentally change the storylines of DLCs.

Not gonna lie, Soldier feels the closest to a "Canon" Shepard. Shepard Prime, if you will. If only because just about every cutscene in the game features Shepard with their good old Avenger assault rifle - and until ME3, only the Soldier gets training in the Assault Rifle by default. An Engineer Shepard gets this scene, and a Biotic Shepard gets occasional comments about their strength as a biotic, but in the end, actions speak louder than words. And Shepard's actions involve copious amounts of Avenger fire.

Yeah. Tech is more for disabling and buffs. Biotics are more offensive. Combat is more of a weapons priority class mainly to serve as a first line of defense. I love sniping with Infiltrators in multiplier, but Vanguards are more efficient at killing large groups. Sentinels are mostly defense with offensive here and there, like Tech Armor, and Biotics, and is probably the most balanced campaign character. But, again, do what you prefer.
