The CT9038 has become my goto impact. The CT761/861 works great 90% of the time but it doesn’t have the beans for truck lugnuts and sometimes hard to get into tight spots. I love that the 18v impacts remember the power level for forward and reverse so you can have full beans in reverse and low torque on forward without having to change the power level when changing direction.
@PowerStrokeJude5 ай бұрын
Currently I use the 861 as my go to. I still use the 761 for lighter duty jobs like running boards when pulling cabs and other small jobs. I'm probably going to take the 761 home, make the 861 my lighter duty gun and the 9038 will probably be my go to.

Jude, any tips/ recommendations for tools for someone just starting out on diesals? Also what are your must have mac tools? Thank you
@PowerStrokeJude5 ай бұрын
You'll need a good compression guage/tester, a good high torque impact (maybe start with air IR is solid), and a good torque wrench. Tell you what, give me a little time, and I'll upload a video of the top 5 or 10 tools needed when starting off as a diesel tech. I'll give solid brands to start with and what to eventually upgrade to. As far as Mac tools. I'd say to get their 4 piece pry bar set when they have the bogo going that will give you the 36 inch pb for free. Get the precision torque wrenches when it's buy the metric and get the sae free. Get the antivibe hammer set when they give you the dead blow hammers free. I appreciate you watching my content dude 🤙🏼🏝🍻

@scottaddison8071 I'd probably go with the Hyper Steps, just by how everyone raves about them. I'll probably get a set soon. I finally caved and bought the BJP-1 master kit the last time it was on sale in the flyer too! Just a heads up if you didn't know seeing you are PowerStroke Jude lol, there are certain year F250/350's that need an additional cup thats not included for the upper ball joints, as well as a certain cup thats not included for F250/350/450 and I think 550 track bar ball joints. I think that Honda kit may actually have the track bar ball joint cup I'm talking about

@PowerStrokeJude5 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's 14.4v. You're right. I misspoke. That being said, it's 14.4v fully charged with no load on the battery. As soon as you pull the trigger, there is a voltage drop, and an efficient battery should perform at 12v. I read that a while back. Thanks for watching my dude 🤙🏼🏝🍻
