No matter how often I watch this video, the energy of the crowd blows me away every time. I can't wait for them to play live again. I guess there are not that many Metal bands who can just incorporate a rapper out of the blue and still continue to have a career. Most Metal fans are pretty strict in that regard. One of the great things about BABYMETAL is that they can do whatever they want without fear of bewildering their fans. It also helps that it always turns out to be awesome...

Ya, that's 'Bring it'. Traditionally it's hard for Japanese speakers to differentiate between the 'R' and 'L' sounds in english and I think Su was out to prove a point in this song. Also, Benji from Skindred has a bit of a sorted history with BABYMETAL, give it a google.

I think Babymetal lyrics can be whatever you want them to be. If you think you hear something and it sounds cool then go with it. I still hear 'monsta monsta monsta, smoke monster' in gJ. I don't know how 'wall of death' sounds like 'smoke monster' but it does. I thought 'Don't tread on me' by Metallica was about the fall of the Soviet Union. I thought 'So Be it threaten no more' was 'Soviet threaten no more'. Kind of disappointing i liked my lyrics better. They should rewrite the song honestly.

⚡ 💕 / 🌶 🌞 Like (hopefully) most BABYMETAL fans, I think it's fine if this isn't your favorite. It's definitely a song that feeds on a hyped up crowd, and it does a great job creating that response. With scores of 7 and 11, that brings the average up to 9. I can live with that. : ) This is a Summer festival party song. Matsuri Da! (It's a festival!) I wasn't aware of him before this collaboration, but F.HERO is a well known rapper in Thailand. His rap was all in Thai. The lyrics in the rap section even mention Som Tam (spicy Thai papaya salad). This one was filmed at Yokohama Arena on the second of two nights, so everyone knew to bring a towel to wave, or to get one from the merch stand before the show started.

They used the same moving stage type that METALLICA used on there last tour. The girls are big fans of the band so its not surprising they used the same stage set-up. Can I just say, I like the almost ritualistic look of you two taking off your headphones :D I can definitely see what Mat's saying about the music. It's a studio track dubbed over the live performance from their Yokohama concert in 2019, and the Kami Band doesn't record their tracks. The song is heavier live, as always with Babymetal, simply because of the driving band behind it, even if you unfortunately see almost nothing of them when you watch the concert (one of my only critique points about Babymetal since 2019). They do a lot of these "budget music videos" and I don't really know why because they could just release the full live version of the songs, in my opinion it sounds better anyways. But they released a new, actual music video yesterday of BxMxC. Definitely worth checking out!

I can definitely agree that Pa Pa Ya is a bit repetitive and the video doesn't showcase the band at all. That's the thing about them though. They change up how they do things so much you have to sort of go with the flow. With Babymetal its best to not have any expectations and just go along for the ride. You know it's gonna be a fun ride either way.

That's one of the coolest things about Babymetal, they have songs that will appeal to different people with different styles and tastes. Honestly, about half of their 3rd album Metal Galaxy isn't really my thing. But I respect it because I know a lot of people adore the songs I personally don't care for. Yet we are all still "The One". I might be rocking out to Rondo of Nightmare, Distortion, Karate, and Kagerou, while others are listening to Elevator Girl, Da Da Dance, and BMC. Babymetal has such a wide appeal, it's crazy. Thanks for the reaction video, keep them coming. We love it.

I saw them live in February, last concert before the lockdown. If it is going to be my last concert in my life I would have no regrets at all. It was in a small club and the everyone was sweating like crazy, I don't need to do sports for the rest of this year.

You usually only see such productions in Japan, although this production was also staged in the United States at The Forum in Los Angeles, CA, scheduled for October 11, 2019. (Recorded and released on DVD / Blu-Ray)

The theme of the song is partying/dancing in the summer and eating spicy papaya salad. As others have mentioned, the video just released on the 9th for BxMxC is more or less a rap battle, Mortal Combat style. Worth a look for sure. Also, most of the songs from Metal Galaxy lack the same level of instrumentation as the two previous albums, with a couple exceptions of course. It has the heavy guitars, but the album versions have them lower in the mix. They do sound better live of course. It's what makes this album so much different than the previous two, and what kind of divides the fandom over the album. Don't get me wrong, it's still in my top 3 favorite albums from them though.

I'm with Chels on this one. This is one of my favorite songs off their newest album and it a total summer party song. It really is there to get you hyped up and excited for summer and having a party..-ya know, when we're back to being able to have those. It's a lot of fun and high energy, as Mat said it would be. The downside to this video is that it is their "official Music Video", so it is the studio track over the live performance. If you want to hear a better version, I'll share a link below. So you have seen what, 3 songs now, or 4? This one is the first one you've seen that was done after Yuimetal left the group in 2018 for undisclosed health reasons. The third girl (mostly on the right side of the screen/Su's left) is Kano, one of the "Avengers", a rotating group of 3 girls who swap out every few cities, countries, or even continents as needed. The other two Avengers are Riho and Momoko. It's an unfortunate thing that she had to leave, and a lot of fans are still hoping she will make a comeback at some point, but honestly, who knows? I lean more to the unlikely side, but as the girls say "Only the Fox God knows!" You should check out either a Su solo, like "Rondo of Nightmare" with Mischiefs of God Intro, "Akatsuki" (pronounced Akat-ski), "Amore", or "No Rain, No Rainbow. Just be aware the last one gets blocked/hit with copyright a fair bit. you should check out Moa and Yui together. They are called Black BABYMETAL, and have four of their own songs: "Song 4", "GJ!", "Sis. Anger", or "Onedari Daisakusen". Su would do solo's to give Yui and Moa a break, then they would come out and do a couple songs to give Su a break. Sadly, no solo's or BBM are performed anymore. Benji Webbe. He treated Babymetal very badly once. He was hosting an awards show for Kerrang, and Babymetal won an award. Everytime Su tried to talk to thank everyone, Benji talkd over her in a mock Japanese accent. It was bizarre. But that is long. This is a good song in concert, gets the crowd energized, which is what it's meant to do. I saw that stage in person in LA, and what dosn't come across is the amount of pyro going off. Live you don't notice the repetition. It goes by so quick.

Bring it - bring on the papaya fruit salad. What F. Hero is rapping in Thai, are instructions on making a traditional Thai papaya based fruit salad, both sweet and spicy. A typical dish at summer festivals where there is lots of celebration and dancing. This song is about the dish and the scene. The girls are using a hard R sound which is characteristic of old Thai, and notice they bow to F. Hero, who endured some verbal flak from some Babymetal fans to be there. Ironic because when they first started, Babymetal's existence upset an ill-tempered minority of metal fans. But we tend to like what we liked before. I too like the Kami band being seen and being thunderously badass. But Babymetal are always doing something different and they did and it's fun if you can let yourself get into it. Babymetal did something new - shocker! 😄

I think the song is fun but yea 7, the live performance THATS what i think Babymetal is for. I've never been but that crowd was incredible. I've had bad experiences no because of the band but because of the dead energy of the crowd. I will neer atten another Tool performance because their fans are zombies and mostly old people. No cheering, no vibing with the music. Jsut sitting in their seats with blank faces . Who sits down during a rock concert? The seats are merely a suggestion and meant for standing on and hold your belongings while you lose yourself in the performance
