Communication and compromise so you guys are on more of the same page. Alot of things changed after my third child and my hormones changed big time so my desire for intimacy went downhill. This made me feel so good about my relationship. The guy I’m with has been dating princess’s in the past, and I’m successful and know what I want, but I’m kind and thankful and his friends love me. He keeps saying he’s so lucky, and is afraid to lose me. I didn’t understand why, until watching this. I’m a queen! This let me know I’m doing everything right and I found a man who values me and meets my standards, and I let him know all the time how much I love him taking care of me, and taking charge, Being a man! It’s so natural, it feels right. ❤

Thats so funny you mention this. I also recognize when my husband needs guy time before he does too. We’ve been happily married 23 years. He is such a good husband, father, coworker and he works so hard to be there for everyone. I encourage him to do this especially since his blood pressure was creeping up when he wasnt. He respects my need for downtime too and isnt one of those needy husbands who cant handle the kids for a few hours by himself. He lets me have my time uninterrupted too.

I met a friend of my brother in a shopping mall, I was alone because my friend cancelled the plan at the last hour. He somehow noticed I was feeling slightly anxious to get on the escalator and he supported me by holding my arm. I instantly liked it because his masculine energy came to the surface ❤ . He gave me an icecream treat 😊 , we visited the bookstore. I was discussing about the books and he was listening to me all the time, with great attention, that was so sweet 😍. I'm 24 now but he treats me as if I'm still a teen schoolgirl. He called a cab for me and I liked all his gestures. Later he talked to my brother about me. He's a government officer and my brother found a good match for me 😂.

What feels rare and valuable to me as a woman is the recognition of the efforts I put into something wether it's related to the relationship or not. Basically hearing: you're the best this ou that, you're giving it you all and it shows, you're blossoming on this or that role.

Okay but I need to balance telling my bf of 8 years (I’m 38, he’s 39) that I love and appreciate how he takes care of me/ my needs (and my little doggo!) with respecting his avoidant attachment style because I feel like his mom leaned on him a bit growing up because his dad wasn’t the most reliable… she worked 2 jobs, emotionally handled the family, put up with hurtful nonsense… and he was her sounding board.. so now, every time things are going really great, he pulls back. I don’t want him feeling smothered by the thought of living together or taking the next step, any step.. I don’t want him to think I NEED to be taken care of, but that I love how he takes care of me.. that we are a team.

The hard part for somebody like me is acting like a queen instead of the maid, willing to freely give but not as willing to receive. What could the difference be between having queenly standards and holding to them, and setting unreasonable expectations without being willing to bend to make it even POSSIBLE to get even a little of what I want?
@vegankochenwir Жыл бұрын
When I get to know somebody online, first phone then date (this way, you know the person is real). I never go to his place first. What is great when the man takes lead (like you mentioned), has a plan and makes plans for the future. I like a passioned and romantic guy.
@HelenJohnson-m5g9 ай бұрын
Faithfulness, honesty & respect are so important above anything else, without these there's absolutely no value in that relationship. Also very important & very rare is a man who is a good listener (not him just waiting to speak & not really attentively listening & engaging in what she has to say). To be able to talk about his feelings & be comfortable about his vulnerabilities. Love it when he's a strong person, not a weak personality, but is soft hearted too. A man who can be genuinely modest without self deprecating & does not condescend or put a woman down is so attractive.

If a man shows up, shows he knows we have something special and shows he values that, that is rare and valuable to me. Takes care of me in ways I didn't know I needed taking care of. Shows up, is present, and asks what I want or what I need. Takes the lead but also gets my input. Realizes that its not ALL just about him. I've certainly made mistakes in the past with my relationships, and I've learned, and am still learning. I love my man and he loves me. But he is very independent, as I am, which he finds attractive. I don't want him to be afraid to loose me but I do want him to 'look after our relationship' like he's afraid to loose it. I want to feel valued. And right now, I'm not feeling it. We are older. There is an older parent in our care, and there is no progression in our relationship. He's a workaholic. The next step would be engagement as we have been together 6 yrs now. I love him to death. And I want him to love me to death. And maybe he does but I don't see it enough. He told me if he wasn't happy, he wouldn't be 'here'. But I need more from him and he's told me to ask him or tell him what I need. Why is asking for what you want soo hard to do Matt?

Thank you Mat for your videos. You offer excellent advice to women. I deeply appreciate it. After being in the dating pool for a while, one thing I've noticed. These principles only apply IF he is ready to receive. Meaning, he has to want a meaningful relationship. Many men are playing games. They say they're a King seeking his Queen. They want to be treated and respected as a "Man". But, they don't follow through. Because, a lot of women are willing to do anything for a man. We're allowing the gender roles to be reversed. A lot of men I've met. They're handing you their manhood on a silver platter. I politely hand it back. 😊 BUT, they'll give it back. They're being lazy and want the woman to do everything. They want a f**kable mother. Because so many women allow this, this is the new expectation from men. Because they know they have options, many will move on. Because many women are scared to be alone, they'll submit especially in the AA community. I know you have to kiss many frogs before meeting your Prince. As a GOD fearing woman, HE said...He who FINDS a wife finds a good thing. 😉 With that, I've decided to focus more on me. Becoming the best woman NO Queen 👸🏾for my future King. Best wishes on your journey. GOD bless!😇🙏🏽❤ P.S. I don't speak for every woman. I can only speak from my experiences and my observations of friends around me.

A man needs to lead and protect. Picking the table, ordering ( asking what she likes)... What I find so attractive. A feminine woman, following my lead. Definitely not a boss babe. It's simple the last thing a Guy wants is to compete with his Woman. We do like to compete with other men. When it comes to our partner, we want harmony and peace of mind. Support her and have her back. In return we ask loyalty and respect. When she does not respect me, the relationship is over.

Thanks Mat. I really appreciate this and puts my last relationship in a clearer light. I was working hard to do all these things. He just didn't want them. He was still f***ing around and looking for a mommy to bang, but we got engaged anyway. It turned really ugly... Anyway to answer your questions -- I have really high emotional standards. I have big feelings and co-regulation is a real thing. The minute he can't meet my emotional needs is the minute he's out. "Maybe you should see your therapist" is a huge red flag for me for a man who hasn't done his work and thinks my emotions don't belong in our relationship. Aside from that -- creative dates that I don't have to think about. I'm along for the ride, because I'm making big decisions every day in my own life. It does not feel good to be the decider in my relationship.
