Interesting show. Great to hear your guy's thoughts on ADCC. And the analysis on the ruleset was informative too. Looking at past ADCC events, there have been many guys with wrestling backgrounds that have beaten more notable jiu-jitsu athletes. Matt Serra, Otto Olson, and David Terrel are a few that come to mind.

I have personally put it in my eyes with great success!!! One treatment usually works and yeah pull out debris. For sterilizing locally, Eyes mouth, nose, etc. You can travel with it. $15.00 bucks at the health food store or vitamin shoppe. There is nothing gentler on your skin and membranes lol because its just water. Let me know how well it works!!! shoots!!!

On the origin of ground fighting in japan. Before even kosen judo, newaza and BJJ there was ground fighting in Japanese jujutsu. Look up taro Miyaki, mataemon tanabe, yukio tani and a lot more. When Kano codified judo and when it became an Olympic sport the focus swung heavily towards stand up. There were definitely Japanese jujutsu guys who were better on the ground than Helio so this idea that anything ground/submission based should be called Brazilian jiu-jitsu is nonsense.

Lining up and bowing it's not brazilian culture it was just "imported" from Japan. The rest of the description looks more accurate. In any case I don't know what's the big deal honestly. How the american culture reflects in the way the JJ is taught in predominantly american gyms? Not lining up, not shaking anyone's hand, walking out of the mat whenever you want? Sounds pretty bad to me.

@@pure4901 yes, the base moves are, but if you go to a traditional Japanese jj class and a BJJ class it's completely different. And the rise of today's judo was exactly the dead of old jj in Japan, that's what I meant. By the way, Brazilian isn't a "race".

@@viniciusalmeida9754 If a Brazillian took their Moqueca recipe to America and opened up a Moqueca shop, is it now American? No. If a few Americans stole the Moqueca recipe and started selling their own version with ketchup in it, does it make it American? No. It's still Brazillian right? You guys have stolen/added a few things to Jiu Jitsu, but the name is still Japanese, ipso facto it's Japanese. You either start calling all Jiu Jitsu "Japanese Jiu Jitsu" or scrap the nationalities and just call it "Jiu Jitsu".
@viniciusalmeida97545 жыл бұрын
@@pure4901 lol If you added only ketchup u wouldn't change the name, but if you changed many other ingredients, yes u could definitely call it American. BJJ was added so many different stuff man, it's a completely different game from the original. bros, im 34 years old, you literally just need to go cultured whole foods plant based diet.. eat more carbs and less protein! i bet both you guys eat 2 or 3 times too much protein! all that does is ramp up your protein turnover rate (the rate of synthesis and degradation).. you complain about getting older, but its just not really the case- the case is being a diehard gladiator needs a legit diet cultured whole foods plant based IS what the best gladiators ate when you hit sixty+/-, your immune system reguires 50% MORE of everything, so if you have a CULTURED WHOLE FOODS PLANT BASED DIET WITH LOTS OF CARBS AND MINIMAL PROTEIN you can MAINTAIN that HYPER state of "getting old" you basically have 100/150 hit points while you are under 60 years old (on an okay diet), and at 60 you need to hit 150/150 hit points with you diet at all times because your immune system is dying (mortality spoiler alert) then your immune system eventually gets run over by the viruses and fungi, that work in a quad-symbiosis to protect your body, finally rise up and help decompose you after you die (at around 60-120 years).. the final ego check that you arent special after all ;) Just maintain a plant based whole foods diet, And your hit points will stay at 150/150.. And you won't be so gal darn succeptible to jetlag enabled viral eye infections, and staph, and other antibiotic resistant bacteria, also associated with animal products
@IsakIvanovicjj5 жыл бұрын
good comment bro, ive been whole food plant based now for 2 years, train bjj 6x a week 2h day, 3x a week full body at the gym and 60 minutes a week of intense hiit split between stair sprints and hill sprints. the diet is legit, keenan and josh im coming for you and im gonna catch up because you guys are fueling your Ferrari with diesel instead of 98 unleaded
@Vscustomprinting5 жыл бұрын
@@IsakIvanovicjj yuuup this is the regime.. I do regular sprints tho cause I'm a wussy. of course injuries set you back, but it's easy to maintain muscle mass with carbohydrates... Might have to eat a lot of fermented potatoes.. I ferment all my grains.. all my rice a lot of my beans.. Some of my potatoes always try to have low salt sauerkraut around..raw nori, mushies.. I know how to grow mushrooms rather well in a commercial setting... I'd love to go around and help convert life stock farmers into muchshroom farmers!!!!!.. wouldn't that finally be a come-upance for the end of this fight for our nutritional health, for our very integrity.... 10 years... I want to be a black belt by the time animal agriculture ends..
@s239005 жыл бұрын
So what exactly makes you think that your diet would be beneficial for all other humans? Just wondering. Specifically the protein to carbohydrate ratio. Your genetic makeup, gut bacteria, immune system, climate you live in, etc are all variables that have to be taken into account. Your personal experience with this "diet" is anecdotal. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Although I believe there is a good amount evidence out there to support what you said about a relation between antibiotic resistant bacteria and confinement raised / mass produced animal products.
