This video starts to show how to use greyscale threshold-arrays such as halftone-patterns in Adobe Photoshop over a full-color image to convert it into interlocking colors. I explain how it works on the Red, Green, and Blue channels of the image, and how the blending mode type and Fill transparency setting can be combined with a Posterizer adjustment layer to switch the "mode" of the extractions from 8 colors to 27 colors.
I go into various ways to use the results of the patterns and perform real-time adjustments to the images and the patterns themselves, how to rotate them in previous versions of photoshop and conver them to smart objects or merge them to a layer. You can even warp the halftone patterns themselves... There are so many possibilities, this is only the first video about the full-color capabilities of these image-filtering techniques, so stay tuned for more coming soon!
