A patch in the PTB coming to the live game soon invalidates a few things in this video: 1. Cooking skill hack with a full oven or cooking station has been patched and no longer will work for raising your cooking skill 2. You will no longer have a chance of being rewarded with bonus resources when crafting armor or weapons 3. The scythe will now give 1XP per crop you hit! Making it a faster way to level farming than manually picking the crops

For cooking you don't even need a fire, just get a piece of cookable meat and spam E on the cooking station. This way you don't have to refill the station.

Another quick way to level up cooking that me and my friend found out yesterday (which will probably be patched out just like the full oven one in your video) is to have a cooking station without a fire and with eligible food in your inventory and spam E onto it. It kept telling us the station needed a fire, but we both leveled up repeatedly as we spammed. We didn't try with every variation, but the way we found out was by trying to put Serpent Meat on a Iron Cooking Station with only 1 regular fire underneath

you can grind cooking without the bug (though it's a bit tedious): build cooking stations place meat on the cooking stations break the cooking stations before the meat cooks repeat as fast as possible btw the bug extends to trying to interact with a cooking station that has no fire beneath it

I'm glad you did a tutorial covering the exploits as hopefully it will push the devs to get them fixed. Also if I'd done it I have an accent that's almost Yorkshire so I sound funny with the accent. Like this old famous steeplejack called Fred Dibnah. I sound just like the guy.

1. Fix to the spam cooking station is now on the PTR so its getting patched very very soon as of the writing of this. 2. The sheer volume of clicks(even if you switch settings to use the mouse to click "use") even if you're using the stutter clicking technique is insanely high to just get ONE skill point between food cooking. 1 Skill up point with stutter clicking for bread takes around 2 minutes. So it'd take 3+ hours of constant stutter clicking to go from 0-100... barring you didnt break the mouse keyboard. But its all moot now very soon anyway. 3. Procs from weapons and armor being removed is also part of the ptr patch atm.

even with the cooking station bug , after lvl 60 takes A LOT to lvl cooking skill , like 15 mins per lvl after that even spamming E button if that gets fixed gonna be the slowest skill to lvl up , more than blood magic lol

@@SpazzyjonesGaming Basically its just not worth it for the sake of the keyboard/mouse either. Patch is up on the ptr atm but really even if they left it in, it would've really not mattered. Cooking skill for speed/bonuses is just a luxury really.

If you get 1xp for picking a single crop and 1xp for swinging the scythe, you shouldn't use the scythe until you have maxed farming skill.

Weapons can also proc. Got extra demolisher. This when realy high can be great to save flametal for magic weapons. However i recomend you have 2 slots in inventory when you craft at least.

Scythe needs to be obtained easier. Make it craftable with bronze and thyen better one with iron and it should count EVERY collected item as exp, not just swings...

Every more 20 levels 1 more star. so with level 100 u r a 5-star chef. and with every star u gain ur cooked food increases 4% in quality...health, stam and eitr. so 80 health could become 96 if your are a skilled cook.

I've never before known anyone use the word 'granted' in the way you do... Given the syntax, I would expect the used word to be 'provided' - as in, 'provided you have the resources to do so'. I assume that's part of the local vernacular for you?

yeah provided works too. part of it could be that I try to vary my language in my videos to avoid repetition when I can. For instance if I need to say provided many times in a video I would try and leverage some synonyms to sound less repetitive

For Cooking if you don't want to spam click.. you can setup a macro in icue if you have a corsair mouse/keyboard.. to spam E like 100 times per second. it will level cooking from 1-100 in like a few min tops As a hardcore.. yeah ima abuse this lol i need to make a shit ton of food..

the point is that naturally you dont get skills to lvl 100 naturally :) , maybe running and jumping but others most get some kind of training , i know what im talking about with 700hs + , the fun become after that training , dont know why you bother about the time wasted of other players , you play as you want , others as they want for example i see a complete waste of time build villages or very big builds in the game actually , the game It is so poorly optimized for that purpose..... and devs just call to everyone to do "build of the month " what a jokers

I understand your gatekeeping sentiments but even the devs after a couple of years introduced sliders and other settings that didnt exist before so that people could play the game easier because many of those features were asked for constantly by players due to the grind. No different because devs too recognize that different people play their game differently. Besides its not really faster easier as you noted when the exploits like cooking for example take 2 minutes of stutter clicking techniques just to get 1 skill point. But then as others said, post 60 in the skill its incredibly longer. You're looking at hours and hours of non stop clicking. So if someone really enjoys doing that, then more power to them. Different keystrokes for different folks :P. That said, patch for cooking spamming fix is on the ptr at the moment.

I have 4 characters, just strictly progress up to fader/killing fader without much messing around... All of them get ~90lv running skill without any designated grinding. You just need to play defensively and stay alive to get lv100 skills...(I think all of them die less than 3 time per play though)

@@SpazzyjonesGaming yes... Its painful. Also, that 5% is current skill level, not overall exp. So, if you die at skill level 100(i.e. drop to lv95), you loss more than 11% of the accumulated exp. This amount of exp can level up your skill to 41....

I found onion soup to be the fastest for farming. I planted a GIANT onion/onion seed farm, and every time I harvest, I get a huge chunk of xp, just spamming onion soup, since it's very fast to make, and only takes onions.

Once you get into the 70s, you're looking at 100s of soups per lvl, then I just throw them all in the obliterator for free coal, but having to wait for the onions to grow back, it's time consuming. Also, lvl 76 is only 1/2 there xpwise.
