I have a Galaxy Book Edge and a 2024 Zephyrus G16 (primarily for gaming). The Edge is my new favorite laptop even though I can't really play games on it. I consistently hit 10-13 hours of battery life (100-15%) and performance is great, even on battery. Program compatibility is hit or miss like you said. However, I noticed that more than a few companies are starting to build for ARM now. Given time I think adoption will increase. I can even emulate stuff like Eclipse for Java homework and it feels fine. I'm here for it. I frequently play Switch games via an HD60x on my G16 (not recording or streaming, it's just nice playing them there instead of one of my more inferior monitors). I need to try it on the Edge too!

If you want an efficient windows laptop than just get lunar lake or new ryzen chips. Arm windows is $hitty with compatability now and likely will stay that way

Been streaming on Kick for just under 2 years, just upgraded my webcam to a Cannon EOS R100, bought an elgato ring light and camera mount and a 4k capture card, with some professional lighting and soft boxes, still can't get my cam to look as good as this. What am I missing? Only thing I can think of is upgrading to a f1.8 lens, from the stock f4.5/5.6. Want to rebrand, and flip my YT channel to similar content as here helping small streamers like myself, but don't want the static in the background of the videos. Who has advice as I've watched about 100+ videos and can't figure it out.

The new updates to Prism can make it a bit bwetter, AVX, AVX2 and so on support is going to be added.

The problem with Microsoft and Google is that they often create great stuff and cancel it if it doesn't hit the expected numbers. But I think this is the direction Laptops should head to. If they manage to emulate better and get the gaming performance there is no reason to buy anything else. But I also would love to see a snapdragon with a dedicated GPU.

harris the people need a video on how you route your guitar audio into your streaming setup. Currently wanting to get into livestreaming my guitar playing and I have no clue where to start.

I like this content, trying new tech etc. Qaulcomm are working hard on increasing the power of the GPU component for future gens of their Snapdragon SoCs. These devices really are home/office use machines. The tech is so new.

VERY refreshing to see an actual, honest take on these between the whole sponsored content bla bla that highlight stupid AI features and leaves out nearly everything you covered so well here.

If you’ve never heard the fans on your M1 Max Macbook.. then you have never actually used it, if pushed the fans can become very audible.

Cool to see how much ARM is coming along. Shame about the legal dispute tho. It only stifles innovation. I'll stick to PCs for the foreseeable. Great video, very fun to watch!

Very efficient, 90% of PC things just don't work. New-gen Ryzen matches the battery life and such while having everything just WORK. ARM Windows is kind of a joke

It'll get there eventually... once someone other than Qualcomm is leading the chip production. If AMD or Nvidia starts making ARM chips for Windows laptops, we might actually have something worthwhile. But I've had zero faith in Qualcomm for years and these laptops are not helping with that.

ARM windows is definitely weird haha. Just like Apple products, it's not designed for gaming and streaming. So 100% not worth if you've already got a similar machine. But if that's your first exposure to windows in general... It's just not standard windows, sorry.

@ i have a macbook air m1 that performs well. Even for editing my videos. No time left for gaming anyway 🤦♂️
