This is bespoke made for KZbin content, not those stinky Twitch VODs. I promise!
I've been feeling the urge to play chess again and I tricked myself into thinking I'm better than I am. Let's see what sort of damage we can do on Chess.com again!

So what's the difference between being merely goated, and being goated with the sauce? How much value does the sauce bring to plain goatedness? Does it depend on what type of sauce is used, perhaps how hot the sauce is? I'm still learning zoomer cybergastronomy

The best episode yet of the return of chess. I love the "every game isn't the Super Bowl" attitude, but I also like hearing your train of thought when you make moves, even if it's a move just to play out a potentially funny line. Loving NL chess back on KZbin.

You should really try some 960 chess, suits your more fun and risk taking approach of the last few videos. It has the benefit that there is no opening theory in a randomized 960 match, but at the same time lots of strategies cope up spontaneously. And it’s still fair because both sides are symmetrical. Would love it if you gave it a try NL!

I think you mean "contrast". "Dichotomy" means something else.
@maxkho00
@maxkho00 Жыл бұрын
Although I don't really see the contrast. He did really well in the first game to get a better position, then missed the opportunity to capitalise on that better position by trapping his opponent's bishop, but then found a nice fork to gain even more material. His only real mistakes (missing a free bishop was a missed win, not a mistake) were rash king moves in the end. And, in the second game, he also missed a simple fork and then a pretty routine mate-in-2 which involved just capturing a hanging bishop. As far as I'm concerned, both games were of similar quality - both were played at around the 1500-1600 level.
@lukehallam1881
@lukehallam1881 Жыл бұрын
It is kind of funny how in the second game he saw the queen wasn't actually defending the pawn but didn't see that the same queen wasn't defending the bishop. Also, it wasn't just a free bishop, it was mate in 2.
