I pride myself on sharing brutally honest opinions on every football boots, which often means highlighting the negatives, sometimes even more than the positives. While I do this in the name of providing the most accurate info possible, sometimes that negativity is can skew my overall opinion. If a few things are bad, the whole boots is bad, and that's not true.
With this idea in mind, today we'll be looking on the bright side of the Nike Phantom GT 2 Elite DF in the latest UV pack colorway. The GT 2 being a boot that I was hard on when it dropped a month ago, but one that is ultimately still a really solid performer with some unique features about it! Hi Jeorge, could you do a comparison between football boots for the best boots for back-heeling. I know that’s a crazy little detail but it would be really interesting to see. I find it odd that boots like the Phantom GT 2 don’t include some of the grip on the heel to give fully even grip coverage.

From a boot nerd perspective, yes , those are boring and kinda disappointing in comparison to the Magistas, the Hypervenoms etc. But I think, from a players perspective, and thats why so many pros are wearing those, these are just objectively very good allround boots. Light, thin, no unnecessary bulk, grip, comfy fit, no break in time, its kinda unique in that no other football boot currently on the market ticks all those boxes. They are highly functional and not gimmicky. Thats it.

Are these FG/AG? I know it says FG but they have a mixture of different studs, some are conical (4, 2 in back abs 2 in middle) and some are bladed. Can these be used in artificial grass/ground safely? Or at least safer than let’s say the Mercurials…?

Only the tier 3 and 4 takedown models have the MG (FG/AG) studs -- Academy and Club. The difference in the studs is that that the Academy and Club have six conical studs, which are better for synthetic grass than bladed studs.

Yes, only on my left foot. Id say it's an issue where the collar meets the boot. The 'lip' feels a little more pronounced on the left one, which may be the cause of the heel rub, so I've put some tape over it to try and smooth it out

The Pro is a much comfier boot than the Elite. Shame they don't do a SG version. Also the colourway is rubbish, how hard is it to just use primary colours
