Yes, less is more for me in my watch collecting journey. I recently sold many pieces off and kept my three most worn pieces. I am happier since I get to wear them often and less watch exhaustion also.

Out of the collection, my top 3 in my collection and my 4th on the wrist are : 321 vintage Speedy, a very heavy patina 5513 Bart Simpson steel Sub, a Reverso Shadow, and a 1960s Heuer Mario Andretti reverse panda 39 mm. My collection includes The Legacy, The Memories, The Deep, The Fun and The Formals. Top dogs (The Legacy) are the 321 and my father's DJ.

3 piece looks great, but missing a beater, Arch. Reality is, us mere mortals will always need a piece that we can expose to rough conditions and also not attract attention for safety reasons (i.e. travelling/holidays). Maybe 4 piece is the way to go.
