I bought this today, and I LOVE that mascara! It makes me look like I have false eyelashes, but I have pretty long lashes already. The curved brush helps my straight eyelashes curl better so that you can see how long and thick my lashes really are.

I REALLY adore this mascara. It definitely doesn't look like false lashes but it does make my eyelashes look GREAT! It has replaced my old favorite "loreal clean definition"!!

I love it! It doesn't really make the lashes look like false ones (I don't use false lashes but I have seen what they look like on a person) but they do make my lashes look nice and thick. My new favorite

This is my favorite mascara ever. I've been wearing makeup for a long, long time and this really is the first mascara I've ever worn that's impressed me. I have long thick lashes naturally (don't hate me!) so I don't need to wear false eyelashes and I don't need the claim. What I do need is a mascara to define them and darken the tips. This one actually does that extrodinarily well.

i personally love this mascara ,because it gives you length and the brush fans the lashes out, i kind of do feel like it gives you that false lash look,albeit the long and seperated ones. Also it does a great job of lifting all the lashes up and away from the rim of your eye which gives you that wide eyed appearance.

I think it all depends on how long your lashes truly are. This is byfar my favorite mascara, and my lashes do look like legit falsh lashes when i use this :) I also depends on how you apply your mascara, and in my opinion alot of girls do not know how to fully apply it to get that full lash look. I recommend this for anyone who looks for the mascara that gives you true volume. Amazing product :)

I love the maybelline Falsies black drama mascara. It's basically the same as this one except it's waterproof and in a slightly different color. It didn't give me the false eyelash effect but it was lengthening and volumizing. I love this mascara!

I bought this today!!! My lashes are already long (I've even been asked if they were fake without even wearing mascara mind you)...and this mascara just makes them POP! Best $5 I've spent on mascara...way better than my Lashblast.

i bought mine yesterday for $4 at target. when i applied it on my lashes, my lashes were longer and volumized (i have naturally really thin and short lashes) thanks so much for the review!

I have this mascara in waterproof, and it might be the worst I have ever tried. The fibers flake off and end up all over my face. When you go to wipe them off, they smear black streaks. The brush is nice, the product was a fail for me but trying to use it up. A very light coat on bottom lashes works ok. Love your videos Emily! Thank you for all you do! I have learned so much watching your tutorials.

i find that if you put cover girl lashblast first and the add a layer of falsies, it makes them look a lot fuller and bold and beautiful. you guys should definitely try it

I have this, and I LOVE IT. Mine is is waterproof, I always liked the covergirl lashblast but this is so much better! I like to turn the 'spoon' shape backwards and wiggle that through the ends of my lashes for more length. DEFF worth it!

i layer falsies with rimmel glam eyes or too faced lash injection and they look fantastic! falsies is probably one of my favorite mascaras.

I agree on the length. I was super impressed with how long my lashes looked, as someone with already long lashes. One of the best I've tried for length. The volume wasn't there for me, though. It actually seemed to create more spaces between my lashes than other mascaras I've tried. Maybe layered with another more volumizing mascara it would have a better effect?

I think it's a great mascara for blending your natural lashes with your false lashes. I use it that way. and it works very well for me.

I have very short natural lashes & I recently started applying 2-3 coats on with 1 other Maybelline mascara. So I did the same with this one. And, with 3 coats on it satisfies me!

I love this mascara. I think you would like Cover Girls Lash Blast Fusion too. This one and Cover Girls are my 2 new fav's. Cover Girls Fusion mascara is awesome....Its by far the best mascara I've never used...and that includes high end brands too.

CoverGirl LashBlast washable removes pretty easily for me, I remove it as I wash my face. When I'm wetting it, I wet my face then press my lashes against the skin on my undereye 2-3 times, then clean that area after I've covered other parts of my face w/ the cleanser.

This is the second mascara I've ever owned (first one was from wet n wild) and it's my favorite so far, I have it in Brownish Black. It gives me a nice length, definition, decent thickness and it doesn't flake. It basically gives me everything I want in a mascara, haha.

I've used the Volume Express line for years! But recently, they seem to come out with various versions....The Collossal and now the Falsies. But I refuse to use anything unless its waterproff....so i'm waiting for this one to go for waterproof!

this mascara works really when for me. I have short eyelashes that aren't visible and when I used the Falsies (after I curled my lashes of course) my lashes were longer and had more volume. I haven't had any lash loss like others and unlike other mascaras it doesn't weigh down my lashes and it actually feels soft and not clumpy. For those who are having problems probably apply one-two coats and just use the wand on the tips of your lashes to fill in the gaps.

I SWEAR by Lash Stiletto!! It is absolutely amazing, both the black tube and the red volume one. Super easy to remove!! I probably use Lash Stiletto forever.

I usually use Lancome Hypnose Drama....which is fabulous...but I bought this Falsies mascara and it's really really good...I like it alot and it's much cheaper than Lancome...I'll use both

I happen to love falsies, flared maybelline mascara. I think, you probably need to apply it and wiggle the wand to reduce the clumps that I saw and do it the regular way, not the way that they suggest in a spoon-fashion. I have never done that and I get compliments on my lashes everyday. My dermatologist even asked me if I use Latisse and I said of course not, lol, just maybelline mascara.

This mascara is great you just have to know how to use it right. It's a certain way you have to use the spoon brush to volumize, lenghten, and separate your lashes.

I agree. The mascara is ok but I definitely don't believe it gives me the appearance of having false lashes on. I have to also mention that you would want a really really good eye makeup remover. I wore the falsies mascara 2 days ago and I'm still trying get it all off.

Maybelline the Falsies "Flared" was the first mascara I purchased, and I'd have to say it's not bad. It rarely smudges or clumps, and the waterproof one really is waterproof! Haha, I tried to wash it off once, but it wouldn't budge. XD

it looks like it clumps and you can tell by the brush. i personally like the Collosal volume express. it makes my lashes look doubled and more like falsies than this Falsies. plus it lifts my lashes and its great ive been using it for over a year now!! :)

@Mawssome hm, that never happens for me. try shifting the brush so that you can see both the thick part and the thin part; this will make your top lashes feel the thick section then get plumped by the thinner part.

made my lashes seem really brittle and fall out when I took it off - not what I want from a mascara! Maybe just me, but mine's going in the bin! Always interesting to hear another opinion though! Perhaps I'll give it one more go.........

my initial impression on this mascara was that i loved it. i've had it for about 3 weeks and i sincerely f***ing hate it. it seems like it's gotten wetter yet thicker as i've used it, and it clumps my lashes so badly. what i was looking for in this mascara was volume, but that didn't work out very well. i will never repurchase this again.

Hm, I've always applied it with the curve going upward, like the shape of the upper lashes.. In any event I really like this kind. I agree that it doesn't seem like any mascara would be able to "really" be able to make it look like you have false lashes on. This might be a good way to get close to that as far as mascaras go.

For me I feel like getting the "flash lash look" with mascara all depends on your actual lashes. Someone who has amazing lashes naturally can probably get that effect, but for someone who has very thin and short lashes wont get the effect I don't care what mascara is used.

The pink regular cheap mabeline mascara has that shape in their curl mascara. I like it way better than the one that comes in the pink and green tube, this is all pink Great Lash Curl. I dunno if its up to your standards but for my lashes it ok. Only mascara I've ever tried that met all my expectations was Avon's Daring Curves Mascara. Perhaps i shall try this product you have so meticulously reviewed.

i am missing a few lashes in the middle of my upper lash line on my right eye and i used this mascara today and it did fill the gaps for me but it didnt separate my lashes like i would like. but it got me a good length and no flakes like maybelline's one by one so i overall like the product :)

I love this mascara! This and the lash blast by covergirl is probably the best I have tried. It all depends on your lashes though its not one mascara fits all. I liked collassal too. But falsies was wayy better with the brush shape and the formula. I have tried one by one and hated it! It always flaked and never held a curl. But it all depends on you and your lashes. But I think one by one has a poorly functioning formula.

Well it has fibers so that is where the "filling in" would come from. Someone told me once use the curved side to apply, then flip to the other side for "lift" :)

this mascara is very impressive! though i agree it doesn't exactly make me look like i have false eyelashes on, it does lengthen out my eyelashes very dramatically. it makes my bottom eyelashes look almost as long as my top eyelashes, which is pretty amazing! five stars. :)

I disagree! It worked for me, in order to get the optimal effect you must curl your lashes first then after while it's still wet use a lash comb and gentle comb through your lashes to remove any clumps. 3 coats works best. I do believe there is a science to applying mascara. Some have it down, others don't. I believe the wand "spoon" is supposed to rest under the lash to get them lifted.

I naturally have long eyelashes, but this mascara did not make my lashes look like falsies. I really like LOREAL Double Extend Beauty Tubes mascara and then I go over it with LOREAL Collagen mascara. WOW does it make my lashes long and thick! If you want your lashes long and thick use these 2 products together, not Maybelline's Falsies mascara.
