Well, this is black metal. For some people, this is grotesque, or «grand-guignol» we can say in french. If you don't know about it, grand -guignol was, during middle age, a kind of popular theatre talking about murders, killing, massacre, etc, accompanied on stage with tons of blood and guts directly collected from the butcher shop. For some others, BM is pure evil, as the opposite expression of good, incarnated by icons such as Christ. You can also choose a middle way and consider black metal satanic lyrics, gloomy atmosphere and gore representation (among other things) as an artistic expression, more like another form of «shock rock», started in the seventies by Alice Cooper (among other bands). But the most important is the quality of music, don't you agree? Personally I like this kind of art, this is not a religion for me, but some people are serious about it, so we have to respect their beliefs, as any other.
