Mine was delivered yesterday: it's awesome. Cool packaging; comes with a neat little UV flashlight to charge the lume (who else is including that?); watch is just very interesting. I'm sure I'll be getting a lot of inquires when wearing it. For 3k, this is a no-brainer if your collection is filled with classics, e.g. Speediy, Sub, etc. Fun piece.

Hey, it’s different and different is cool in such a derivative watch market, especially a slimmer watch, with an LJP movement, in ice blue. If I had the money, yeah!

It's 1500 ice blue pieces for the raffle. I already got a Lucky Clover edition but I'll try anyway. I love the green version but I'm intrigued by this slimmer case. If I win, I'll decide which one to keep.

That makes sense. I’m pretty sure you can sell these for the purchase price pretty easily. So, I guess it’s a relatively safe gamble.

I was one of those guys that pulled the trigger and entered into the raffle one late evening after a long day and was tired and not thinking clearly...And guess what? I "won the raffle." And instantly 🤦🏻‍♂️. To be honest I never win anything....like absolutely nothing ever. And this makes me believe that anyone that "entered into the raffle"...."won." I do like this version over the previous. Unfortunately, there's no date complication. My current watch collection primarily consists of classic and vintage designs (divers/drivers/aviation). So the MB&F M.A.D. 1S will be something different in the collection. I'll see if I get buyer's remorse when I receive it.

Congratulations. It is a nice watch… I think you’ll enjoy it. I ended up passing on the gamble this time. I’m not exactly sure why… I pushed the button eagerly three of the last times. I guess the good news… Even if you fall out of love with it, you’ll probably be able to easily sell it for the price you paid for it. So, take it for a test drive and see if you want to keep it.

Oh man, that is very cool and it is worth it in the sense if you decided to sell I am sure you wont take a hit. However I do not like that they sacrificed a time unit to make it thinner.

Hello My Friend. I like the watch & the upgraded movement is nice slimmer is better but $3000 I'm not sure about 🤔 I've been looking at solid gold Moonphase Chronograph ( vintage) around the same price. Personally I'd pass. But it is a cool watch & i like the blue better myself.

Funny, the "Time to Love" iteration was my least favorite of all the MAD1 watches so far. I'm wearing my original Blue edition today, and look forward to receiving my MAD1S.

I backed out. I heard 9000 entered for 1500 watches. So the demand is still there. I just have too many watches right now (I’m definitely going to sell some after my SOTC) and don’t need to add a piece that I won’t wear unless I go to a watch meetup.

I find it interesting that they kept the movement in the same family. The old movement was from Miyota, a Citizen company. And the new movement is from La Joux-Perret, another Citizen company. Maybe Citizen gave them special pricing as advertising for their G100 workhorse, which they’re marketing as an alternative to the Sellita SW200, which has become harder to get.

The reason is that they want a movement that has a unidirectional winding. As far as I know, it is only the Miyota 8xxx and 9xxx that have that (and this movement which is really just a Miyota 9xxx).

I will not put my name. 1- LP movements are swiss made but belong to...Miyota/Citizen...hence the fact that there is not a huge difference in price. However, LP movement is a little bit slimmer. 2- the design is superb but I do not like the fact that you will be able to read the time at +/- 5 mn. The barrel gravings are not sufficiently precise. 3- there will be a stunning alternative with the microbrand Radcliffe: l'Inversée will be 15mm high, full saphire box, separated barrels for hours and minutes, cool colours and a Miyota 9XXX which is better quality

​ @PocketWatchTime the difference is that if the time is between xh00 -xh20 and xh50-xh59 you have to look at the sides instead of under the watch, if you l know what I mean... So depending on the time, you have to search the time. (Radcliffe watch)

IMHO MB&F watches fall into the love em or hate em category in horology. I particularly like looking at them, but I would not buy one. For me they are conversation pieces more than they are time keeping pieces. If I wanted a conversation piece at this price range, I would go for CW's Bell Canto. In the end if you like it and its your cup of tea pull the trigger and enjoy it. If you do get it I would love to see it @ a redbar event.

complete unusable if there is no minute indicater, if you like something rotating on the dial you can consider a Perelet turbine watch.
