What kind of work has been done to this bus mechanically? I notice the rear axle sits differently. Has the suspension been modified? Also see the gears still automatic, I noticed the shifter looks like it has been changed to a manual selector. It stoll sounds like a Voith gearbox though. Good to see this bus still in use 👌

narrower, fuller profile tyres and split rims would throw the wheel inwards as they aren't so wide if you see what I mean

She did work in Manchester for a couple of years but she was new to Ensignbus in 1988 for London routes 165/365. F279-91/3-4NHJ along with E470SON & G107FJW were sent to Manchester around 2001/2. F293/4NHJ & G107FJW were among the buses sent to Sri Lanka and at least one or two more of the F-NHJ batch also went.
