This is so accurate. Me: I’ve meal planned for the week, cut way back on carbs, stopped drinking, and workout at least 4 times a week = 1 lb lost. Husband: I stopped drinking soda and I lost 6 pounds this week 🤦‍♀️

Also, trying to sweep the floor or do the dishes while my wife is present provides her with absolute proof that I'm trying to kill us all. Childbirth is just payback.

One day my husband got a complement from a family member saying he looked thinner. He responded by saying “ yeah I was tired of being fat”. This man hasn’t changed his diet much and he does little to no physical activity. And he’s able to maintain the lower weight. On the other hand I’m sweating it out at the gym and counting my calories etc. he had never once mentioned to me that he was trying to lose weight. Men’s bodies are so strange.

this is a huge sexist generalization, and I know it's not true, but it seems to be a man thing! I've had several male co-workers, you can set your clock by their morning bathroom break, and they're gone at least a half hour (While I'm busting my ass doing all the work!). My father was the exact same way.

Woman here. I have unintentionally lost so much weight during the pandemic (40 lbs) that I have literally casually walked from one end of a room at home to the other and have my pre-pandemic at-home pants fall to my ankles midway through walking (I pay more attention to my choice of pants when outside my home lol). I pay zero attention to my appearance if I go to the grocery store, but if I meet friends (the few times I have had the chance lately) or go to work on-site my hair and make-up is perfect. I meal prep a lot while my significant other orders sushi and pizza and hamburgers. The shoe issue came to my attention when I had to attend a funeral, and I had one pair that was only barely acceptable for the occasion, the other two pairs were track shoes and big military grade winter boots.

That moment that I realized that I am Kim, and my husband is Penn… I got to bed after going to the bathroom and washing my face last night, and he was passed out. It took me an hour to go to sleep. The toddler woke up at 3:30am, and asked for some water. Husband woke up long enough to tell me he woke up, and immediately fell asleep (he leaves for work at 6:15am). Me? After I laid back down at 3:45am, it took until 5am to fall back asleep… And kiddo was awake and ready for the day at 7:15. 😑

Seeing videos like this, I'm so glad I'm not a girly-girl. I have a few pairs of shoes, all hiking boots/shoes and athletic slides; I wear comfy clothes from REI; I have short hair that I wash with natural bar soap (have for 15+ years and my hair has never been healthier) in the sink in 3 minutes. I also fall asleep immediately and sleep a solid 8 hours like the dead. But the whole food/weight thing? I'm with you on that! Fingers crossed for you two next week on TAR!!
