Meat was definitely one of the greats. You should check out "Bat out of Hell" sometime. I drove my parents crazy playing that record over and over endlessly when I was 6 or 7 (as only kids can do, in '79/'80) and jumping around in the living room. As to where you heard it, I'm sure it's been used in thousands of movies and TV shows, as well as on radio?

Meatloaf and co-writer Jim Steinman, had this wonderful talent of taking rock music and giving it a musical theater vibe. His first album, Bat out of Hell, was constantly being played in the house and car when I was a kid. Meatloaf suggestions: It's all Coming Back to me Now (Was originally released by Celine Dion in the 90s, but was originally written for Meatloaf. He later released his own version as originally intended) Bat out of Hell Two out of Three Ain't Bad Paradise by the Dashboard Light You Took the Words Right out of My Mouth

@@BlackieNuffyep. Jim wrote and composed them all. After Bat Out Of Hell, Meatloaf got some serious anxiety or something and lost the ability to sing and record the second album, Bad For Good, so Jim recorded it himself. The 80's and 90's were just a steady stream of awesomeness. You couldn't go a few weeks without something mind-blowing like this song and video coming out. I feel like the 50's and 60's were like that too, but not so much the 70s (even though a ton of great rock songs came out of the 70's). I'm starting to think that pop culture creativity is cyclical and that we're in a (deep) lull right now...but hopefully there's a renaissance on the horizon...

❤❤❤ Mornin', sweetie. This is one of many songs, meatloaf written by Jim Steinman. But you may have recalled the style of "I'd do anything for love" as much as the song itself. Celine Dion, Bonnie Tyler, and others. Two of my favorites are from the movie STREETS OF FIRE. If you know the movie you can tell his songs. If you don't know, they happen early and late. Thank you for your beautiful reaction to a beautiful song. I love your little smiles as you watched the video, and the fact that you chair-danced to it - it is a rocker! You're so right about his voice. It's just so raw, powerful, rich, warm and comforting that you can't help but crave more of it, even though he's already given 150% of himself in every performance. It just gets under your skin and seeps into your soul. I've loved Meat Loaf since I was six, almost 29 years ago. My world exploded into colour when I first heard this song, and now he's gone it feels flat and colourless, again. The composer who wrote this song - Jim Steinman, who wrote all Meat Loaf's biggest hits - died last April. He too was a legend, and similarly misunderstood by the music industry. The two of them have left a massive hole with their passing, but they've also left an incredible legacy through their collaborations.

Meatloaf had a great voice and his live performances had as much drama and theatre in them as they had music. Musically, the pairing of Meatloaf and Jim Steinman was a match made in heaven. Jim Steinman wrote all of the tracks on Meatloaf's first two Bat Out of Hell albums and seven of the 14 tracks on Bat Out of Hell III. He also wrote a number of hits by Celine Dion, Bonnie Tyler and Air Supply.

Another rabbit hole that is so deep you will end up in wonderland and may never come out, I saw Meat Loaf live again last time in 2004 and it’s up there with my all time fav experiences in music, it was amazing, this is off Bat out of Hell 2 album. I know exactly where and what I was doing when this song came out. Bat Out of Hell (OG) is a musical master peace and Meat Loaf Steinman are up there with the goats like Elvis, Elton, Bowie, Queen (Freddie) music shouldn’t be about control by labels, by corporate vampires who have about as much feel for music as a stake through there cold dead hearts and lust in it for greenbacks, rather than the music itself, greatness always prevails and Steinman and Meatloaf prevailed over those bloodsuckers and left us a musical legacy that is long revered after those corporate suckers and will last eternity for those who have an ear and a beating heart filled with life, passion and feeling. Meat Loaf lives on in the music….🤘

This song is from the breakout album called "Bat Out Of Hell". It was unique because of the theatrical aspect of each song put together by Jim Steinman and Rundgren, and, Meatloaf was a perfect fit for the vision for the album. You mentioned that this song could be turned into a musical - well, you pretty much understand the idea behind the album. The videos for each song are great, but, you will also get a lot out of just listening to the album front to back.

This is i the true sense; during the 80's was called a music video.... choreographed, studio, actors, production.. editing just like a movie or mini-series...all done by this singer. The video is based a little of Bram Stoker's Dracula and Beauty & The Beast Fun fact: He was not (during the time of video; be different today) allowed to use the word drugs... Think of this song and video as a rock opera type of performance of Beauty and the Beast!!! The Meat was always a theatrical showman if nothing else!!!! He will be missed!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!❤️❤️😎🍸

This made me feel so old, here's Bisscute saying "I think I've heard this before, I remember the chorus"..and there's me belting out the lyrics from memory as if I was back in the 80's lol

I was in a tv show with Marvin aka Meatloaf about 10 years ago...he was having health issues then too. It was cool to see him on set.

I grew up listening to this song on radio stations in the car, when my dad played this at home and many more. Very well known song. Great song too.

I got to see him live back when this song came out. It was a free concert. I wasn’t really into it because I like just the song but he put on a really good show and I do like a lot of his music. It’s a shame that he left us so early.

i was so in love with the voice of the woman. i heard many years ago than the actress who play the role of "belle" received many proposition for singing but she wasn't the one who sang in that one. one thing this clip makes me realise, it's if we swap the role it would not have the same effect. we always saw the beautiful girl falling for the "ugly duckling" but we rarely see the other way around.

I am glad that you sometimes notice my messages. By the way, in one of his clips, the still young and then unknown artist Angelina Jolie was filmed. The clip is also good.

😢 Michael Lee Aday (born Marvin Lee Aday; September 27, 1947 - January 20, 2022), known professionally as "Meat Loaf", was an American rock singer and actor. He was noted for his powerful, wide-ranging voice and theatrical live shows. He is on the list of best-selling music artists.😥

I did have that once in my life. I was in Love with a Girl Danyel. Was awesome. Than one day she died in my arms. I screamed what seemed like eternal for help. No One came. She suffered a Brain Anyersuim/ Blood Vessel Bursted. She was 27. That was 6 yrs ago. Now I just watch Reaction Channels like your which I Love. Keep Up your Awesomeness!!!

At the end, she knows he will live long after her and that he'll forget her, but he vows he won't do that and no one seems to notice that his face and hands are human now because of love. Beauty and the Beast vibe. And I will ALWAYS believe that the voice behind the actress is TINA TURNER!
