If I ask my 15 years old son to help me, he has no time, because he has to learn for school… When I explain, how things work, he doesn‘t care at all. I guess, one day, he will be union secretary at the tax office. Or something even more stupid. At least, he will never work as a real man.

@@andiman45 The sense of family, community, and religion in this culture contrasts significantly with Western values. The social structure is distinctly defined by mature men who impart their skills to younger family members and community members alike. Family ties are profoundly strong, often surpassing those typically seen in Western societies. Elders are deeply respected and valued, and financial resources are shared among families rather than distributed to individuals. This collective approach underscores the central importance of religion and family in the region, further reinforced by their tribal identity.

@@horstmuller7512: Stone age people? There is no such thing as 'stone age people' - that's a very offending and condescending remark - shame on you! These are top notch pros. They know what they are doing - unlike western mechanics now a days. We do not have any reason to look down on these fine people. So if I may suggest to Mr. Muller: Get down from your high horse and try to do such a task only half as good as these fine gentlemen are doing. Congrats to these Afghan mechanics from Switzerland!

Many years ago I was a field mechanic in Mozambique and often came across trucks on the side of the road , in the middle of nowhere where the driver had the donk in a million pieces, sent his mate off on a bus to buy parts, week later jump start and good to go.
