I really enjoyed this one and I hope she has a successful cycle this year!

Agree, she definitely needs clinical experience and shadowing. She has the numbers/stats but it’s so different to see an application without any medical things in it. Once she has those hours, she’s going to be a stronger applicant

Great video! Thanks again as always for your videos Dr. Gray. I am also a non-traditional student, prior military, and finishing a post bac in Human Biology, working as a cardiology assistant, and applying this coming cycle. I take the MCAT this year as well. These videos help me understand my non-traditional path to medicine is okay and not a bad thing. Wish everyone applying this cycle the best! Thanks.

Agree with many of the points about Committee Letters. In fact, a nonTrad applicant like this one, would not be expected to have a CL even if his undergrad (from years ago) writes them. And poop on Hunter. Is that how they’re handling UIMs? I doubt it. But if they are, that’s insane.

She definitely does a good job of answering the question without answering it😂 but she has alot of good experiences hopefully she gets in the next time around 🤞🏾!!

Hi Thanks for your videos. What do you say to future pathologists or radiologists? They might be great in their job and really love it, but clinical experience to convince themselves they like medicine doesn’t fit for them. There are lots of ways to be a doc.

I would say it's not ideal to go into medical school with one track in mind. Many people switch. It's best to enter medicine as prepared as possible, and that includes taking care of patients to understand what they go through.
