20:40 Vitamins in all generations before 8 don't actually "max out" your EVs. They get you up to a maximum of 100 (technically you can use it at 99 at get 109 EVs and starting in Gen8 you can pump them up to their cap). Each EV can have a max of 255 (252 in later generations) and you have a max of 510 across all stats. Hearing "max out" in terms of EVs is a bit of a misnomer.

You get a gen 6 starter, a gen 1 starter that can Mega Evolve, a Lucario that can Mega Evolve, a Fossil Pokémon and Lapras! It's like they're challenging you to lose with such an awesome team!

You're absolutely right about Special Attackers by the way. Between Intimidate, Burn, and contact punishment abilities (Poison point, rough skin, flame body, etc) physical Attackers have a harder time than special. There's no special equivalent to any of those.

Yeah, I'm hoping he knows that even with private insurance, they won't cover between the first couple thousand (if you have expensive premiums, or a job that figures it's cheaper to pay the insurance company, in a bulk rate, than you any extra) to roughly ten thousand (if you only have still fairly expensive premiums), and even after that will only cover ~50-80% costs until you reach your out of pocket maximum. IDK his finances, so maybe it still makes sense, but if I could, I'd move to Canada from the US in a heartbeat, just from the differences in healthcare costs, difference in cost of living be damned.

Gosh I'm sure you were about to give up, for the challenge with Wingull. I was so sure you wouldn't made it not even on level 100. That lucky shot against the Lapras really got me off guard. Pokémon Challenge suggestion: You are free to go with the game of your choice, but the challenges is using only middle evolution stage pokémon. (For Exemple: If you pick Bulbasaur as your starter, you can only battle with Ivysaur.) You are not allowed to use pokémon who's has no evolution or only 1, it must be a pokémon with a 2 stage linear Evolution. So pokémon like Eevee or Tyrogue are not allowed, but pokémon like Oddish, Poliwag or Ralts are allowed. Try number: 18

Yeah the mention of cost of living made me look up the difference, admittedly in aggregate, and it just seems like pocket change compared to the cost of health care in the US. There is not a special attack version of Intimidate. It has been a massive overhanging problem within competitive pokemon. It's why Incineroar is the best competitive pokemon since 2017.

If you didn't know when you complete the post game fire red after getting the ruby and sapphire, if you challenge the elite four again they all have some different pokemon and theyre all higher levels. Do any challenge you want but do it on fire red and also beat the post game elite four.

I did this run but in Emerald. What's hilarious is that I had to grind for May's Treecko at the very start of the game. And by the end of the game, Double Team and Bright Powder (an item that decreases the opponent's accuracy by 10%) was mandatory to beat Wallace and I don't think I ever tried Steven.

Regarding the Intimidate equivalent for Special Attack, such an ability doesn't exist yet. However, Gen 9 introduced Ruin legendary quartet that each lowers Atk, Def, Sp. Atk & Sp. Def for all mons except itself(even allies in doubles), So, they're grt for singles but not so much for doubles.

I have an idea for a fun challenge, One that means you could even use Drowzee. Can you beat Pokemon Black (Or any game from gen's 5 ,6 or 7) with only the move Assist? Purrloin learns Assist at level 6 so it'd be the starter, Then if you get a male Purrloin you can breed it with other's to get more Pokemon. I think this would be a great wacky challenge since the more Pokemon on your team the more random the move is. For any that don't know Assist uses a random move known by any of the user's party Pokémon, With some exceptions. So even Pokemon that can't use Assist would still be useful if they have good moves that Assist can use. Drowzee is in the Human-Like Egg Group so If you want one with Assist you'd need a Spinda since they're in the Field and Human-Like Egg Groups so can breed with Purrloin and Drowzee. You could also use a Chimchar as a starter if you give it Assist as an Egg Move, They're also in the Field and Human-Like Egg Groups so a male one can breed the move into any Pokemon with Assist.

The only Special Attack lowering ability that I know exists is Ting-Lu's Vessel of Ruin ability that cuts the Special attack of all pokemon on the field by 25% not via the regular stage based method. Ting-Lu is part of a non story quartet of legendaries who have similar abilities, including the Funny Calc Fish and Sword Saber Tooth Tiger that are based of the the Four Perils from Chinese Mythology.

You could do a Skitty assist only run.You can hack in PPups or staff to max your assist pp on skitty and you can use as many skitties as you want.But since assist picks a random move from your party,you have to keep balance between amount of skitties and normal Pokémon whose moves will be picked
