It was released on Sega Channel only in NA. Since few people had Sega Channel, I count it as being unreleased in NA. Wily Wars/Megaworld saw a full cartidge release in Europe and Japan.

I'd love something like this updated with the current Megaman roster of robot masters and such. And as an added bonus, you should be able to choose 4 weapons from any game you want and carry along anywhere (except rush & items) but some balancing of the Metal Blade would be required

Nice to have a boxed repro of the English version, with the save system patched to something far better than it originally had. Couple that with the speed this one runs at (despite it being based off the PAL version, but hey, living in the US has it's perks when it came to old school gaming), and it's a grand part of my collection of the original series (first 6 NES games, 7 SNES, Rockman and Forte SFC, Mega Man 8 PS1, Rockman 8 Saturn, Mega Man 9 and 10 on Wii, Rockboard FC, Rockman 3 FC, Rockman Complete Works 5, because I found it locally oddly enough, and the 5 Gameboy titles, plus Mega Man The Wily Wars, and Rockman Battle and Chase PS1, as well as Super Adventure Rockman PS1. Had the Saturn version of the latter, but there were defective prints for it, and I HAD to happen to have one of them, so my friend got me the PS1 version, and I sent him back the Saturn version).

Ya dude, I'm fully aware of that. I was simply making an observation about his gameplay and Protoman fights. However, you can clearly see that the player is going out of his way to not take damage, and therefore showing some skill, regardless if it's meant to be a skilled play through or not.

I knew what Mega Man was since 2010 when I played Mega Man power up for the PSP, that been the first Mega Man game I ever plaied. After my PSP broke I never played a Mega Man game ever again. Until last year in 2018 I played Mega Man legasy collection 1 and 2 I pick up more and more interest with Mega Man. Now I played Mega Man 11, and Mega Man became my second favorite video game frienchices of all time. My favorite is actually Sonic. And that's how I learned that Mega Man was cancelled Rockman on Japan.

They did do a classic Megaman game on SNES... Megaman 7. If this game had been made in Megaman 7 style, it wouldn't have been as good. Megaman 7 was too "zoomed in" for the classic games. The fan hack Megaman 7 NES is superior.

If you had the Sega Channel, it is likely the US version you played, if you played this back in the day in the US. Because it never saw a physical release within the US.
