What's a team of Power Rangers without their trusty Megazord? They're mechanical giants formed from smaller but still relatively large components. As fighting evil hand-to-hand enough, Megazords allow the battles to go to colossal levels.
In this video, I'm taking a comprehensive look at the different aspects that make Megazords so interesting and unique from their history, design, engineering, evolution, toys, cinematography and more. What about them makes them so special? I intend to be MEGA thorough!

36:50 I have a theory that the Lightspeed Megazord is has parts from the Turbo Megazord and Rescue Megazord, while the Super Train was built with the parts from Artiltron, Mega Winger became the Solar zord and Mega Voyager became the Omega Megazord.

The Lupin ranger vs Pato ranger does a good job of giving importance to the Zords since they're a combination of McGuffin, morpher, and zord

Great video. I love the Megazord. There are so many great ones. I remember asking my dad for one, they were $40 at Walmart or ToysRus for me. I do agree the Japanese toys looked so much better. What a legacy and history they have had over the years.

1:19:00 Yeah I get your point but I think it was intentional for spectacle purposes, and if you are looking for a CG sequence with some weight to it, I recommend Lupinkaiser and Patkaiser's combining sequence from Lupinranger VS Patranger, also Kingohger from Ohsama Sentai Kingohger, Boonboomger-Robo also.

Just saw this in my subscriptions but already know it's going to be awesome! Especially since I personally believe the Zords / mecha in Power Rangers and Super Sentai have gotten the short stick in the last few decades, becoming superfluous afterthoughts just to add to the toy catalogue and rarely getting focused storylines or even screen time in the shows themselves. We were truly spoiled with ZYURANGERS and its extensive giant robot / monster action scenes.

Side note some of the megazords in the sentai have MegaZord theme songs. Also, my favourite has to be Kishiryuoh.

Some of the zords in PR do too. Between In Space and Wild Force, they used to do specific tracks for them. The Galactabeasts have theme, a variation on which plays during the Lost Galactabeasts two-parter. The Gorillazord/Kongazord in Wild Force has a theme. You typically hear it when it throws out its explosive bananas.

My fav megazords are the Omega Megazord and Super Train in that order. GOD they are peak, I love it when they are obviously human made and industrial in terms of language, and the fact that the Omega can join up with te lights of orion is incredible. And then I am also quite fond of the Ninjazord, the Dragonzord, and the Time Megazord.

I think the cgi transformations are fine. No one has a serious issue when the rangers morph with a cgi background so why not let the zords do the same.

There's a difference between a CGI zord and a CGI background. I have no problem with the latter. I also don't have a problem with CGI in general, it just needs to look good and often times there's directions they could've gone that would've looked better.
