To think that Elpizo's actions here set the precedent for the entire fucking rest of the timeline of the Zero series and ZX series, Killing X and as a result letting the dark elf and omega become a threat AGAIN shook the world, Weil's actions couldn't of been possible, or at least NEARLY as easy if Elpizo didn't screw up both Neo Arcadia and the Resistance up so badly in the end. Weil could have never of even been a real threat had it not been for Elpizo, he'd just be someone who could be easily shot back up in space or have X released as a last resort if truly needed. But because of his delusions, Omega was able to cause almost irreparable amounts of damage alongside Weil, who lived on and even in death; influenced people for ages to come as Model W...His plan may have failed, but it gave heed to many more that caused arguably larger damage than his ever could, just in their very *CONCEPTION.*

I think that's pretty much the point, as disappointing as it is. Elpizo's body was mass-produced (he even had a serial number before taking the name Elpizo from a Neo Arcadia project), and couldn't handle the Dark Elf's power. As such, he overexerted his body while going into his second phase (as indicated by his nightmarish scream). You could even say his first phase is easier than the second phase. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it still makes sense nonetheless.

As you watch more anime and get used to Japan's ways, you'll be able to determine a character's gender almost instantly regardless of their voice and/or appearance (there are exceptions of course). Although I personally find Elpizo to don a fairly manly appearance...that and he is the only major male character in the series that actually wears pants. (Tight pants but they're still pants.) He's just well dressed.

I believe there could be a better way to solve the whole issue about X sealing Dark Elf into his body, thus being permanently a cyber elf: X could have simply taken Dark Elf's ''other half'' away from his body, downloading himself back into it, and in this same way, Dark Elf's other half would be free and with not too much damage; in this way, Zero and X would have fought Elpizo together, outsmarting him. Elpizo would know better than destroying a stationary body just to release Dark Elf. What a dumbass.

Interesting that Elpizo is a word of Greek origin used heavily in the New Testament that means to hope or wait for salvation. I believe X's body was destroyed, but Elpizo cannot be credited as being "more powerful than X". (I assuming this is the subject of debate?) X was containing the dark elf, which must have been a massive draw on his power, evidenced by his complete inactivity. X's body also lacked a spirit, since a cyber elf of him has been flying around since MMZ1. This is significant because Zero was able to overcome Omega due having Zero's original software, as opposed to his original hardware.

Though unable to read what ScarletChaosEXE wrote, I'll throw my two cents to this conversation. You do have some very fair points, however, the question is: did Elpizo truly destroy X('s body)? I doubt that. He managed to penetrate his Armor but did not obliterate him completely - that explosion probably happend due to the sheer amount of power X's body was trying to restrain. Also, Elpizo weakened the seal beforehand, already gaining a "little" power & presumably damaging X's defenseless body.
