Since some of the utter idiots at War Thunder top tier are too stupid to fly the Mirage 2000, especially after having bought the premium Mirage F-1C-200 last sale, here is a simple guide (full of memes). Lets hope that gaijin does not further ruin top tier jets with the F-15 and Su-27 in the upcoming update.

He also may or may not have worked on funny baguettes that go boom =) 4:15 He told me many times at the time, when it came to anything, they didn't care how expensive it was, how hard it was to make, or how long it took to be made, they cared about it being the best thing they could possibly make. They had so much money to build fabulous things ! But before he left, times had changed, now everything was counted, any cent, any minute spent was the most important thing. And that's why the M88, the Rafale engine, has far less thrust than it's competitors, 75kn compared to the 90kn of the EJ200, the Eurofighters engine for exemple. It's not they had forgot how to build engines, as they could increase the thrust by a sinificant margin, it's that it was deemed too expensive... They had to cut expenses on the thing that, you know, allows a plane to accelerate. Thankfully the Rafale is a superb aircraft, but it could use a few extra kn of thrust ! Also the snecma balls and ballsack jokes made me laugh waaaay too hard 😂😂

BTW, few mistakes i found: -Mirage 2000-5F has better TWR aswell -PGM "bombs" are bri ish -Mirage G was firstly based on Mirage F-2 (also failed project, which worked like mirage 4000, just enlarge this MF'er), and later it was based on F-1 which was cheaper but still to expensive. It was good, just too expensive, and dassault knew that it was too expensive, they just made it to pull out france out of the contract with bri ish and their stupid engineers other then that, its actually a pretty good guide, good explanation of how to use Magic II's etc, i like it as a french dorito enjoyer.

the 530D CAN go mach 5 but it has about the same delta V as the aim7f/m and so most of the time that mach 5 speed will be in specific conditions

I would agree the Super 530D's are very underrated missiles. I will also say that just like the R-27ER, that Mach number on the stat card is bullshit. The speed advantage over the Aim-7F/M is also relative to distance. The S530D has better acceleration due to a higher TWR, but burns for 5.5 seconds less than the Aim-7F/M. What I've found is that the S530D has a lower time to impact than the Aim-7F/M within 10km, then they'll even out at ~15km, and then the Aim-7F/M will overtake the S530D past that. Difference is negligible though in either case with a TTI difference of really only a few seconds. Though this will certainly change a bit, by how much IDK, after the Sparrow family gets a drag reduction next patch in "Air Superiority"

also btw for people who are intrested about the 1.5s fuse on the magic 2 its not the warhead fuse iirc its the proximity fuse that has a 2sec delay so it will explode if you hit them in the face with them.

Is the "Ramex Delta" livery in the video in the game or a download? Because the Ramex Delta tactical display team was from squadron 2/4 La Fayette, a squadron thats used Mirage 2000N, N standing for "nuclear" since it was the nuke carrying plane before the Rafale, thus, this livery must not be on a Mirage 2000D. They look similar but aren't the same Anyway, it was a great video, i enjoy your YT channel and TY for this quality content :))

dont get me wrong 530D is still capable, but its never going to win a joust against an er, even with first launch and a few seconds of downtime

Technically speaking, the mach 5 and 5.8 on the statcards is the theoretical top speed at high altitude. In actual games at lower altitudes and launch speeds they wont break mach 3 even. The 530D and ER just have that great acceleration at those lower altitudes that acts as a major advantage against the Sparrows.

Small detail you forgot, the 530D might go mach 5 but the R27ER actually goes near MACH 6 THAT is the issue mach 5.8 to be exact, it also gets at this speed way easier and for way longer

Technically speaking, thats the "max speed" shown on the stat card and its effected by many things such as launch parameters and altitude. In normal combat scenarios ingame near the ground neither missile will even break mach 5, topping out around the mach 4 range

While the Super 530D statcard states a maximum speed of Mach 5, it's actually so freaking draggy that it simply cannot reach that speed except when launched at maybe 15 000 m altitude while going mach 2... I did simulations as well and the conditions required for it to get to mach 5 as modeled in the game are plain stupid. TLDR : startcards are shit and you shouldn't trust them.

i personally recommend getting a rank 3 or 4 premium prop (i recommend the Yak-3 on sale) and using it to get to the early/mid tier jets, then just slapping a talisman on the Super Etendard or Jaguar A on sale to finish the tree. Its what i did and its cheaper than the Mirage F1
