You basically argue that even though the defendant did the crime, he had a good enough reason, or the circumstances mean he doesn't deserve to be punished for it. One was molesting the fathers 11 year old son, while on transit to court, the father shot him in the head, yes, there's footage. The other one I know of was a 5 year old girl, and when the father found out, he beat the molester to death. Both were let off, as the court declared they weren't a threat to other people. Aka, they had an actual reason. Quick edit: yes, it is satisfying to hear these cases 😊
