Mentorship opportunities can be all around us - but are we ready for them? To be ready we must: 1) know ourselves and be clear on what we are seeking for in mentorship, 2) dispel some common myths about mentorship, and 3) know our responsibilities as mentees. (Part 2 of a video series on mentorship of physician-scientist trainees put together by the Clinician Investigator Trainee Association of Canada (CITAC). www.citac-accfc.org/)

More about this video series:
Mentorship is consistently seen as vital in the development of clinician-scientists. If you're like me -- you've heard this a lot -- from faculty, fellow students, and perhaps you sense a personal need for mentorship. I think the need for mentorship is something that resonates with all of us; we all agree on its importance. But it's less clear how exactly one goes about getting mentored. The purpose of this video series is to provide resources on mentorship. They're not meant to replace the unique support that is found in mentor-mentee relationships. Rather, we hope to empower you with the tools and skills to seek out the mentorship you need. We hope you enjoy it and put it to use!
