Ich bin erschüttert, dass Benz auch bei der S Klasse so schlecht abschneidet. Der Volvo S60 hingegen wird seinem Ruf gerecht.

Your tests are incredible. Im a big, big fan. Thank you for doing these. If possible - do include Volvo EX30, new BMW 5 series, Audi Q6 Etron and VW ID4 the next time you do these truck underride tests.

ADAC在大約1993年時候做過撞擊測試，當時的標題翻譯成中文是"我們撞掉了七輛車" ，那一篇報導我經手翻譯成了中文。後來台灣種代理汎德大喜，把520還是525好好的宣傳了一番，三十多年過去，看到懂車帝又撞撞撞，許多方面令人無限感慨與佩服。

Note that this is a long-wheelbase "L" model which is only sold in China. The crash performance seems to be comparable to other MB models.

It's way better with the english voiceover! In the big comparison video i found it quite hard to read the subtitles while keeping up with the video itself.

The problem with the crash into the truck is not the cars, it's the trailer itself. Come over to europe and you will recognise that the trailers have way more "structure", they are lower and have kind of bumpers that prevent cars from underriding them. Chinese government should make that mandatory instead of adding more weight and costs to passenger cars.

This is a Chinese media whose main audience is Chinese consumers, and the vehicles tested are also popular models at various price points in the Chinese market. Cybertruck has not been launched in China, and sales of the Mazda series are very low. The remaining few may be tested.

Its really interwsting how new cars typically perform great on moderate overlap crash tests, but perform far worse with a female driver, or for rear passengers

While I believe car manufacturers need to start making stronger A-pillars to perform better in such crash, comparing car safety based on how they perform in this test is worthless. There many different trucks with various bed frame heights and sized and many different underrun barriers. The design of the barrier, whether it collapses in such an offset crash and what it does to the suspension of the car are random extraneous variables. You can see here how the car squats after hitting the barrier. Thus, the suspension setting would also have an effect. The fact that lower cars would have their cabin penetrate by a much smaller margin or not at all and thus seemingly perform much better also needs to be stressed. The danger here is that car manufacturers may start designing their cars to pass this specific test always conducted on this one specific model of truck trailer, but not to be safe against rear collisions with the variety of trucks on the road.
