Lyrics: I was born the runnin' kind With leavin' always on my mind Home was never home to me at any time Every front door found me hopin' I would find the back door open There just had to be an exit For the runnin' kind Within me there's a prison Surrounding me alone As real as any dungeon with its walls of stone I know runnin's not the answer Yeah, but runnin's been my nature And a part of me That keeps me movin' on I was born the runnin' kind With leavin' always on my mind Home was never home to me at any time Every front door found me hopin' I would find the back door open There just had to be an exit For the runnin' kind I was born the runnin' kind With leavin' always on my mind Home was never home to me at any time Every front door found me hopin' I would find the back door open There just had to be an exit For the runnin' kind

I get so aggravated when singers cannot sing their own songs... This is Not the case with Mighty Merle Haggard, he got better with time, the more he aged the better he sang... I was working on a computer & manufacturing system in Bowling Green Kentucky a number of years ago and my working partner and I had to stay the weekend, so on Saturday night we decided to go over to Nashville and go to the Grand Ole Opry, it was last minute, so we got tickets on the internet and had them at the will call desk and hauled it over to Nashville, we didn't even know who was going to be there and just decided to go and see the show... When we got there and sit down and the show started, they introduced Merle Haggard.... It was one of the best nights ever.... RIP Mighty Merle... You are surely missed....

In the power of the most High God, I pray in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus ,that His will not mine be done.. i pray this with great faith, for I've seen His favor before. God give this person exactly what you see fit for him if it be Your great mercy so be it. Only you can make Your perfect judgment cause You see his heart... whether he falls from the hands of another... or is avenged by You. I do not know, but in Your name, I pray for this man for good or bad.. I hand his soul to You to do what thou wilt. Again, not my will , but Your perfect and most powerful will. Amen

Country music is not the same today. I have alot of CDs of old country. I played in a country band back in the 70s and 80s. Did alot of Tanya Tucker and Jessi colters songs. Miss sjnging. Loved it. Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings and all of them back then loved them all. Clydia McKean.
