When i was a kid, christmas morning i always got excited going down our stairs and seeing presents. Id sit whilst my mam wud look at me and my brother opening our presents and my dad too. Sadly my mam passed at my age of 14 (she was 42), she passed away at the end of november which made christmas always much more harder as my mam loved christmas, and the joy it came with it. I grew up then with my mams mam and dad (grandparents) amd we all grew up grieving together but still loved our xmas days together. Now since i am married i see my grandparents on xmas eve, and my in laws boxing day. I enjoy xmas day with my husband and brother :)

I love hearing people’s Christmas traditions too! Our Christmas routine was always like this: on Christmas Eve we go to the candlelight service then have dinner with grandparents/bonus grandparents at an Italian restaurant (manicotti) when we got older my family kept doing this but switched dinner to teppanyaki and I started singing in a church choir so I was with them until a bit after midnight. When we were all home we would have hot chocolate and a pastry/cookie thing we make every year, then open one gift (always pajamas) that we would wear (or change into in the morning if they were too warm to sleep in). In the morning, whenever my little sister woke up she would get us and we would open our stockings, then the pets’ stockings, then we would go into the other room with the tree and open gifts from immediate family and Santa. Around mid-day we would either go to my grandparents’ or they would come to us. We would have dinner then open gifts from/to that part of the family, then have dessert, then depending on our age either play with presents or a board game all together (often Yahtzee, dominos, monopoly, or scrabble.)

I love the film 'White Christmas' too Always watch it again this time of year. I went to see the West End production of it several years ago. At the end when they were singing the finale and covering the audience with fake snow I welled up and started crying. It reminded me of lovely family Christmases in years past. Growing up in a divorced family we were very busy. Xmas eve late morning we opened presents from Mom & StepDad and siblings, evening was Moms family at the house. Xmas morning santa w/all household, then Bio-Dads house, then his families. We then got dropped back off at home where my Step-dads family was already at the house. Long 2 days and i loved it! Now it is Xmas eve evening for us Siblings with our Step-Dad and Xmas day i go to my in-laws and maybe see Bio-Dad, the timing doesnt always work and we do something after xmas.

Lost my earlier message😥. So, as a child, my brothers and I received three gifts: a toy, PJs, and a book or game. My Mother said that if three gifts were good enough for baby Jesus, it should be good enough for us. Our Dad would make us BLTs for breakfast and we'd go to church with our Mom. Merry Christmas from my family to yours (I’m also known as @indiebeauty) Typically morning for my home growing up was waking up with opening presents, having a breakfast of maybe chocolate chip pancakes after that, and with me and my older brothers either playing games, or going over our gifts. And now that I have a son, our typical morning is basically the same but with everyone playing with his toys together. So we will have lots of puzzles, watching the Harry Potter‘s, and lots of delicious vegan cooking that I will be doing. Hopefully with some of your recipes as well!

No worries; I think most of us enjoy your q and a’s! I agree, best vlogmas year yet. Well done! You know we love you, Alex!! Christmas morning- I have one teen and two young adults now, and we still do the same. They all get up and come to our room, we all go to the living room together and the open their stockings. Then we eat breakfast- cinnamon rolls and a breakfast casserole (egg and potato). Then we open ALL the presents. Christmas meal mid afternoon.

Great final vlogmas. Our Christmas traditions were mostly planned round my singing but on Christmas Eve we would go to Midnight Mass where I would be singing go home and we were allowed to open one small present. Christmas morning when I was little I would wake up really early and there would be a full stocking at the end of the bed that I would run into Mum and Dad’s bedroom, get in the bed and open along with my brother. We then had a bath, got dressed in our new Christmas Day clothes and go downstairs and see all the presents under the tree. Dad would go in the car and collect Mammar ( Mums mum) Mum would be doing the Christmas dinner and we would have our Christmas lunch at 1pm so we could see the Queens speech at 3pm and then we were allowed to open the presents under the tree. Rest of the day was playing games especially monopoly and mousetrap. A lot of fun. Boxing Day was seeing Aunts and uncles and a lot of singing at country houses and at church. When I was older I had to go sing on christmas day morning at church too so all the family came to that and then back to ours…..I love Christmas, so now I perform a lot of Christmas concerts both as the soloists and also with the schools I teach in and we fill our house with friends from far and wide and anyone who is alone can come and join us…lots of singing, food, wine, joy and laughter. my christmas growing up and still since i have younger siblings we do roughly the same things. we wake up pretty early with the younger siblings waking everyone up and we go straight to the living room, sometimes having to wait for the coffee to be brewed and then with everyone sort of sitting in a circle, some on chairs and the couch and others on the ground all the kids open their stockings and then we go one by one with the gifts under the tree starting with the youngest first. after presents we get mimosas and breakfast before people have to leave to go to other christmas’s. for reference my family is rather blended so half of the siblings have other households to go and i forgot to say im from minnesota! i always find traditions and routines so interesting, i think that’s why i also like vlogs. it’s like a look at how other people live their lives

Typical Christmas morning: wake up really early and we couldn't leave our rooms because my dad is a Physician, so most holiday's he'd have patients in hospital, so when he got home from rounding, we could come out, around noon, LOL.... and we could stay in our jammies all day, because we got new ones the night before. From Santa. Our main holiday was always Christmas Eve, which was a tradition from my Dad's side. And we didn't do a big meal on the 25th either... but we usually did Boxing Day with friends.
