Nice vid. I to run an extreme scoop travel shaft. I recommend them. Mine does not unscrew. John at extreme usually will ask you what hand you scoop with. He will then send a shaft for that hand. My threads on the shaft tighten counter clockwise. It keeps the threads tight when I pull. Never had it pop loose. If you have the wrong threaded half, John will most likely change it out for you. Long finned fish is a small Pompano.

I was in St. Croix a month ago. I did not have a metal detector. But I took a walk on the beach for quite a ways. I was finding sea glass on the part of the beach no one was walking on. But as I walked along Something kid of shines caught my eye. It was a Tag Heuer Carrera just barley sticking out of the sand right at the waters edge. You can tell it had been in the water for a while but it was working. I took it to a Jeweler and sold it to him. He gave me $1000 for it. No one wanted it because it needed repairs.

I took a cruise a few years back and hunted one of the tourist beaches beside Atlantis. That was the courses sand I've ever experienced, it's like glass shards. The beaches are also sanded in a bit which made for some deep targets. I only ring I found was a 925. Like you I focused in the water but the wet sand had more targets. My wife and I have put our house up for sale. Once sold we are buying a live aboard sailboat and traveling the world. My metal detecting is about to become EPIC! I keep asking you which machine you think is best between the Manticore and Dues 2, which you never reply. But, I see which machine you have the most faith in from this video. You may remember me from a year or two ago. We met while hunting the same beach. You mistakenly thought I was a friend of yourself since I was totally covered up from the sun. I was swinging a CTX with a 17" coil. Without naming the beach do you remember me?

I was in the Bahamas once on our honeymoon. It was mid December so the water was a bit too cold. I was always a shell collector as a kid at the Jersey shore (and as a mom cuz I’m a crafter. lol). I had a cheap metal detector years ago. I always wanted to get a good one. My BFF’s cousin detected all the time when we were in our teens. I wanted to go with him because he was really knowledgeable. Unfortunately he liked me so I wasn’t “going there”. I didn’t want him to think i was interested in him. He was nice but he was a dork. And at 17 I was into the athletes. Ya can’t blame me. I was 17. Lol I was at all my BFF’s family picnics and parties. I went just about everywhere with their family (except on vacation. My parents were against it. They had enough kids to keep track of.lol) so I saw her cousin a lot. People assumed I was one of their kids. I might as well have been. I was at their house every day. Lol( I lived across the street). we aren’t young anymore and we’re all married with kids and grands so if I ever get a detector again I’m gonna ask my friend to talk to him for me and see if he will take me along on a local adventure. That would be awesome I’m 30 minutes from Atlantic City and we have a lot of popular lakes nearby.

Hi im a fairly new subscriber. I've been to Nassau Bahamas a few times . I also love to metal detect. One place my husband thought would be great to try is a place called ( pirates stair case ) The pirates made it many years ago to bring thongs on shore. The stairs were carved into the hard rock . It's fascinating to see. You would need norkel gear at least ,if not scuba gear. It is about a half mile from Jaws Beach in Nassau. It's by a water treatment plant . Please if you go ,keep me in the loop. Have fun.

Recently got back from Cocoa Beach, FL. Was able to get some metal detecting in with a new manticore. Found an ear ring, some change and... some "freaking pull tab's". Compared it to the equinox 900, the ferious indicator on the manicore gave the edge. Was it worth 6-$700 more. Probs not. But if you got in on the recent sale where it was only 1-$200 more than the 900, then it is totally worth it.
