I noticed that you are a car racing person, my favorite from the PS2 era that I noticed you didn't have was Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero and 3... the non-Drift game line of games (1 and 2 of the series was on Dreamcast... and again not the Drift series). Racing the Tokyo freeway system, pulling up next to another racer and flash your headlights to race against them through freeway traffic... winner being getting enough separation, area boss racers, car collecting and out running the cops... it really had the elements of current Horizon series, but it was limited by the tech at the time to be that grand.

Ephesians 6:10-20 New International Version The Armor of God 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should

If you dedicated your life to collecting video games, you’d have a huge collection too. I’ve known people like this… they spend a LOT of time looking for games. It’s not some casual thing. I would honestly guess that Jason spend, on average, 10-20 hours a week looking for games. Maybe not anymore considering how many he has at this point but at one time, he was hunting. You have to if you are trying to not use eBay or something. I should state I’m not judging. People should do what makes them happy. Personally, I’ve never loved the hunt like some people. I also don’t like to own games that I’ll never play (and I don’t count popping a game into my system to grab footage for 5 minutes “playing a game”). I treat video games like I do clothes. If I haven’t used it in at least 12 months, I ether ned to sell, donate, or deem it a significant item for it to take up space in my home. Then again, I try to be a minimalist when possible.

MJR, great list. What you said about the PS2 generation taking risks is correct. I think the gen after expanded this also (PS3/X360) but it's somewhat plateaued with PS4 onward.

The ps2 will forever remain my favorite console. I have a lot of very fond memories playing Ps2 and I still believe that this was the best era of gaming. If I’m being at all honest I miss it and I struggle to play games today because I simply do not like online games like cod Warzone. Modern games are becoming less and less enjoyable to me.

It’s interesting how many people claim the PS2 to be their favorite console. Maybe I just didn’t branch out enough when I had the system but when mine broke, I didn’t even bother to buy a replacement system. I just sold my collection off. To be fair, my collection was mainly the obvious titles (think GTA, DMC, and a few odd balls). It’s one of those systems where the popular games have been out done for the most part but the deep cuts/hidden gems are hard to replace. That’s why i wouldn’t mind spinning up an emulator for the system one of these days as I have no interest in getting the original hardware to work on my modern TV (PS2 is notorious for it’s poor video output).

Get you another one and start getting some games back! 3 years ago I got an extreme desire to start playing the PS2 again, being born in 1995, it was basically my entire childhood. I bought a brand new, unopened factory sealed PS2 in 2020 for $450. So worth the price for a brand new one. I now have 18 games in my collection from my childhood, plus a couple I never played and man, its amazing. I literally play it all the time, more than my PC. Currently playing through Manhunt for the first time. My buddies have PS2s also and a couple times a year we get toether in my living room and all play together like old times.

One game I feel was missing from your most expensive list would be Steambot Chronicles; fantastic open world, steampunk (If the title didn't give that away), mech game. As of typing this comment the game is worth $164.04. I still go back to play it every now and again.

FFX is my favorite as time has passed, I started with 7, loved 8, was not a fan of 9 but X brought me all the way back!

Same, no idea what MJR is talking about saying it's not considered one of the better ones, the game has been re-released continuously for the last 20 years because of how loved it is...
@arnox4554 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I don't know what the hell he's talking about. FFX is sitting at a 90 total critic score and a 92 total audience score on Metacritic. I have personally never heard a bad word about FFX. Now, FFX-2 on the other hand...

I absolutely love that you had a mention of the getaway series, back when i was younger i wasnt allowed to play the gta titles due to the media saying how violent and brutal they can be but somehow i managed to have these to enjoy. great story and i loved how you played different story lines leading up to certain endings.

Great selection of games you picked out there. So many racers to choose from, my favourite being Outrun Coast 2 Coast with those glorious colours and classic arcade gameplay. For FPS games have you tried Darkwatch? I picked it up recently and was very impressed. Thanks for your videos.

Absolutely loved Fistful of Boomstick!!! Super big fan of Bruce and the Evil Dead franchise, loved upgrading the chainsaw and getting new weapons and ammo. Played through this multiple times. Just starting to emulate it with 4k graphics and shaders that make it a fresh experience! Thanks for the video brother!

Have you played Regeneration? Tons of fun. A little more linear with easier controls. Boomstick was a hoot, but it took a while for me to get the hang of the controls and had to use a map for some levels. I have Hail to the King on PS1, but the tank controls made it almost unplayable for me.

@@DrunkenMasterPaul Holy shit, Drunken Master Paul!! Whats up brother! Man i totally hear you, I tried getting into Hail to the King as well but didnt get too far. The controls and brutal difficulty pushed me away from it. Shame. I actually just picked up Regeneration! Didn't even know it existed. Going to have to run through it this weekend now! I hear you about the maps on Boomstick. I got confused a bit when he goes back in time and had to keep backtracking. Thanks for the heads up Paul! Hope you're doing good! Silent Hill 3 is not a hidden gem! it's one of KONAMI's hits do you forgot Silent Hill HD collection? I know it's terrible version, but it was with Silent Hill 2 not SH4 or SH origins it was SH3 I don't know why everyone prefer SH2 maybe because it was a huge renaissance in that time.

I'm fairly confident that I have over 5 thousand hours in Gran Turismo 3 + 4. Me and my brother used to do all the endurance races and take turns while on holiday, the PS2 was our saving grace from an otherwise incredibly boring month of pretending to enjoy beach-going. We were only allowed to pack 5 games and GT3 and 4 were always there, for several years. Plus how could you ever not praise a console that had two of the best games ever made, literally, in Snake Eater and RE4. Great video! My collection is nowhere near as impressive but I'll get there.
