Thank you so much Alex. This is unbelievable to hear all these tracks you've went and let Cliff's work stand out on. It is a true gift that you have provided us with. Along with the other miscellaneous information about Cliff and Metallica as well. Thanks my friend. I truly appreciate it.

I'm a huge Cliff Burton fan and this is one of my favorite tunes. Being a veteran it means a bit more. Always loved that galloping riff and Of course Cliff. Amazing work

As a drummer who in my teens were playing the 1st 5 albums of theirs....i am thankful for this mix. Really get to appreciate more of cliff's basslines and how dearly we miss him...truly a master.

This is by far my favorite Metallica song and now it even better. This bass player appreciates these mixes.

Cliff’s bass sounds like a pulsating vein….it’s awesome and thank to Alex for these treasures which bring to light on Cliff extraordinary work. There are some many bass riffs hidden in all Metallica songs played by Cliff… what a genius. Love you Cliff

When I was a teen just getting into metal I always wondered what was the point of having a bassist in the band if in most songs it was either barely audible or simply non-existent. Eventually would find out about bands with actually audible bass line in their songs.

Sounds like I am listening to a bass-tracking session right there in the studio with cliff.

this is the "if Geddy Lee ended up being Metallica's producer" mix Coz I'm pretty sure Lee would want a more audible bass in the mix!

This is my favorite and the most underrated Metallica song . They need to seriously think about hiring you to work your magic on every album and re release everything. Why don't you already work for them ?!?!

The Mix sounds nearly as bass-oriented as Sodom's masterpiece "Tapping The Vein", or at least "Agent Orange"
@mrsteel2503 жыл бұрын
Sodom is such an underrated band their newer song Nicht Mehr Mein Land kicks ass in all departments. They have so many good songs for bass and just in general.

Cliff DEFINITELY WOULDN'T have mixed it like this, this amount of bass is just really annoying. Sure, these videos are really cool so you can hear the bass better, but this just sounds really unprofessional.

@lapinus4 жыл бұрын
I don't think you are understanding well the concept - he is mixing the bass as it was serving a role of rhythm, harmony, and riff. In other words, Metallica if they were without Kirk, so as a power trio (so James playing solos)
