Happy birthday, PJ! 🎂 Yesss, this workout hit the whole body and was excellent! I appreciated, as always, your cueing and encouragement! I used 15# and 10# dumbbells. Maybe make a note so you can remember what 54 felt like 20 years from now. I certainly don’t remember how I felt back then ( I’m 74 now), except that I was working 70 hour weeks in a stressful environment. Maybe I blocked it out! 😂 🤷♀️ Anyway, it’s all good now, and I have you to thank!❤ 💪

The 90-90 arms-up in the warm-up feels great, doesn’t it? I used 17.5 # for the B stance deadlifts (I gave it a try and was able to manage heavies), 15# for the renegade row off the knees (hard work), 15# chest press, 10# for one arm clean to press, and dead bug. Booty band finisher did its job. Wish I could say that I eat clean, but man, that coffee ice cream! 😋 I self-sabotage! I really like this workout. Thanks, PJ!❤

Hi there, Kerrie checking in for PJ today! For this drill, I would recommend only doing the clean part of that move as it is driven by your glutes (not your shoulders or biceps) and avoiding the shoulder press part. Hope that helps! 😃

Effective workout . However, the constant up and down ( standing- down to the floor etc.) for me is annoying as heck! A good chance for hurting something . Wish we could just stick to the basic of weight training . 😊

Basic weight training is up and down, I am afraid. To target the right muscles, and get a balanced workout, you need to manipulate gravity when working with dumbbells. Which means supine, prone and standing moves. In addition, getting up and down it’s important to ‘train’ as you get older. We are also here working out, not here to do whatever is easiest and produces the least amount of effort. Perhaps purchase a bench.
