Called a fascist for defending George Washington, what a legend.
@shoopinc

@@ryandiepstraten4323 No man is punished for the sins they are unaware of. Even the prophets can unknowingly sin. We are judged for what we do deliberately, knowing something is wrong and doing it anyways. At the time George was alive, it was the common view to think of blacks as property. We know now that is incorrect. I look at that aspect of George's character with disdain. But, this does not take away from his greatness. As humans we are constantly learning and becoming better. There are probably acts we commit now which future generations will look at as barbaric. But, it is an important lesson to see that we stand upon the shoulders of giants. We would not be where we are today without George Washington.

@@ryandiepstraten4323 You are correct, the good and the bad are part of a man's character. But, doing great things does make you great. It is precisely the great deeds of men before us which built most of the knowledge structure we have today. The only reason we can judge right from wrong is on the basis of jurisprudence, our own judgement, and gifts from the divine. I can't speak for you, but I am certainly not smart enough to prove slavery is wrong from scratch myself. But, the axioms passed down from the theologians of previous generations can prove that slavery is immoral easily at this point, and I say we ought to use them. Rigorous proofs in my field, mathematics, require some fundamental axioms to begin with which consequences are derived from. Philosophy and theology are the same as math in this regard. To continue the trend of progress we need to study how it's been done before. Reverence for the men and women of history is important so that we may learn from their mistakes and continue their success. If we cast our priors as devils, why would we listen to their advice? We don't need to worship the past, but we should respect them. I see the great descriptor as just that, a profound respect for someone who pushed the needle forward particularly through war. War is a digression from this discussion, but that's what gives Alexander the title. If you fight for good ideas, you get the great title as well.

@@ryandiepstraten4323 , some Black people who were or became free also owned slaves. Before black slaves were used, they used Irish slaves. My point is that is was completely normal to have slaves back then, and there was little to no racism involved until later around the civil war years.

Ryan Diepstraten, ??? I never gave my opinion on slavery I just said it was normal back then because, well, it was. It was a different time, and a different culture/society. Hell there is still modern slavery today (most call it human trafficking) which is horrible and every normal person hates it. Of course I think slavery is bad and evil, but I’m not ‘normalizing’ the conversation on slavery just because I said it was normal back then. Most people knows it was normal back then. It was expected that a person in the south had a slave or more if they owned a plantation. That doesn’t take away the fact that slavery is heavily looked down upon and hated nowadays, including me, because I do have both slave ancestors, and slaver ancestors.

People don’t spend enough quality time with their children, because we are forced to work nonstop and not be able to afford crap with the insane inflation. Then they sit on their phones on TikTok brainwashing them. They then send them to liberal colleges, and allow them to be brainwashed. They then become professors and the cycle just keeps going.

I love how conservatives like you claim to follow objective facts, and then you say things like lipstick are feminine, when it's literally just some wax and pigment. How are those materials "feminine"? And yet when a trans person tries to do whatever they want with gender, suddenly it's such an offense to "objective reality" even though you people bend the rules for yourselves all the time. Did you know the US national debt hit a quarter million/ taxpayer 6 months ago? The economy is being held up by borrowing, printing money. If you stole all the money of all billionaires in US, it would pay the interest only for 1 year. Since I wrote this, about 10 million added to US debt. Lastly, the current rate of death is one person. We can dive in deeper if you want.

Ethan Constantinescu If I remember correctly Michael Brown’s friend told reporters that Brown had his hands up and was saying Hands up don’t shoot when the cop opened fire on him. Then pretty soon all the witnesses were agreeing with that statement, and it became the narrative. It’s actually both fascinating and horrifying to see how easy it is to create false memories in people to the point that they can continue to swear he was unjustly shot while surrendering to an officer.

Every one of these kids has the ability to recognize right from wrong, use the library or internet to discover what they’re saying is incorrect, but choose to stay ignorant because they feel wronged regardless. It’s easier to destroy than build. Easier to hate than understand. They’re actively choosing to make a scene, and hate when anyone questions their opinions with logic. Teachers may plant the seed of liberal ideology into their heads, but they have to actively nurture it to make it grow. Nobody is brainwashing them like in a bad Russian movie. Was she was trying to say was that speech can turn to violence, certain speech that is spoken in anger hate fear and dissolution can turn into violation, she didn't word it correctly, but in truth someone's words can cause an individual to become violent indeed . If that individual speaks in anger or fear and hate it can cause them to act out in a violent manner 90% of the time anger and fear and hate speech does in fact turn into violent acts between to people that can not find mutal ground in understanding and resolve a situation . Your talking over me I'm talking over you , your shouting at me I'm shouting at you , then it becomes physical and violence happenes . That's the scenario in many cases. But if one party can be self aware enough to Use the strategies they know to de-escalate a situation, then the speech anger hate and fear won't turn into violence. Next time you argue with a person stop to think how much you want to physically attack that person to be right to get your point across , even if you do not act upon it , there is always that inch that one day you may lash out. Every man woman as the ability to kill push enough everyone has a breaking point. I agree to that speech can cause violence and its plain to see all around us , how angry society the world is getting. It's a shame he didn't give her real time to explain what she ment and instead he insulted her and belittled her , I've seen this guy speak and I can say that I've witnessed his words cause anger and violence among the angry . Yes it maybe cos of lack of understanding on some people's behalf , but isn't his job to get his point across in a manner that he can de escalate the situation? He cones across as arrogant and narcissistic that angers people. It's a shame become he does make some valid points. Also it's a shame that you have to make such a childish comment cos clearly you do not understand both sides of the argument

Somebody call that university and compliment the guard or police officer so they don't fire him for taking down that jerk.

But don't you think he insighted it with arrogance? I mean he makes valid points but it's just how he puts he's points across . We know that truth hurts , but it's how you expel it that has the biggest impact. Expelling the truth in arrogance causes anger fear and hate. Expelling truth in a civil and confident way . Arrogance dosent pay off see. Arrogance is rooted in insecurity - a defense from feelings of weakness that are unacceptable and unclaimed. An arrogant person generally has a skewed view of the world and a warped understanding of themselves. His inflated sense of self-importance, a belief that they are better than others, impatience with less knowledgeable team members, an unwillingness to listen, or disdain for different points of view. He's not knowable or wise he's simply arrogant. Shame cos he could make changes but he's infighting anger instead . He's not expelling any truth by not being clever about it.

@@sedoniadragotta8323 Look again. Michael was the calmest person in the room. He didn't incite any violence. Those "students" had it all pre-planned. Didn't you hear the phone alarm that signaled " begin the assault" ?
