You are so right -outside of their 1am broadcast and those times when the ladies host(usually 6am to 8am),ESPN is lousy.

Jamele and Michael need a cultural podcast or show. Sure, they were dope with sports, but it was the culture that I tuned in for.

I had the pleasure of working with Jemelle and Micheal @ ESPN. I was the Director of photography for their "Coming to America", "Empire", "Step Brothers", "Siskel and Ebert" and "Basketball" spoofs. If you haven't seen them, search youtube. These guys have serious acting chops. Miss them.

Their journey reminds me of the quote, “We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.” - Joseph Campbell. It's beautiful to watch their unfoldment.

Great video and outstanding conversation. To start, I am proud of those including Mrs. Jemel Hill and Mr. Michael Smith who left ESPN. The same goes for Mike Hill (Fox Soul), Kevin Frazier (fellow Detroit native and Entertainment Tonight co-host) and forgive me if I am missing others. Consider that Dana Jacobson (Birmingham, MI native) is on CBS Morning News Saturday. Michael Kim (one of the few Asian Americans represented in sports), Keith Olbermann (once MSNBC's biggest ratings draw) Dan Patrick and current NBC Sports Sunday Night Football host Mike Tirico (another hometown guy) have all grown their names and brand beyond the confines and construct of Bristol, CT USA. You are all remarkable people and have proven abilities and growth well beyond your development stage.

I would love a show with the both of you as hosts...but more like a 60 minutes for sports stories...that could include other talkers that are guest hosts? Not JUST a podcast, but way more...It can even follow the podcast format, right?

To be honest, the authenticity of espn is leaving, u, mike smith, Dan, cAri, Elle, Sarah Spain, and a few others seem authentic on tv and that’s what viewers want to see everyday

The trauma of that situation had clearly effected both of them. And it appears that this will be forever. The terrible part is s educated women did not use common sense concerning their job.It seems like nothing was learned from the Dixie Chicks and Kathy the comedian. You cannot go after the CEO of the country and still expect to get paid. That office and the flag means a lot to slot of people. And it would be smart to not be going against that criteria. You heard him say I had a great living 🤑.

Jemele, I like you and Michael, and I think you're very intelligent and respected but at the end of the day, we all have bosses. And your bosses have bosses too that they have to answer to. I think you would've made more of an impact in the sports world if you had stayed and "adjusted". ESPN and its audience (like me) are far better with you in it than out. Anyways, good luck to your career. Cheers!!

ESPN is not solely responsible for these people getting to where they are it was their audience of all religious political and cultural backgrounds who supported them she should have kept her mouth shut. She deprived us of exceptional talent that's why Michael had it rough to mess with her podcast she effed up.

Mike allowed himself to be a pawn... He would've been top player at ESPN right now.
