It's great to see how Mick is genuinely happy for Randy's success and was thrilled to put him over. Mick always worried more about making great matches than win or lose, which is why SO many greats (Rock, HHH, Orton, Edge, Undertaker, etc) had their best matches with him.

I really want to hear Mick talk from the bottom of his heart like this about his Wrestlemania match with Edge, that is one of my personal favorite matches in WWE history, that was the first Wrestlemania I watched and that match always stood out as a highlight for me

There isn't any wrestler I love hearing tell stories more than Mick, it is no wonder his books sold the way they did he is one hell of a story-teller and each time I hear him speak I think how great a Foley biopic would be.

Mick, you have the biggest heart in the world. Your generosity & the risks that you were willing to undertake to help other wrestlers & promote the sport is awe-inspiring. I want to be more like you (but with fewer thumbtacks).

I'll forever love the match and I'll put it over Edge and Foley from Mania 22; the build from December was great and the match itself delivered in spades. Randy was in Foley's wheelhouse, but managed to hang it out and show the resilience needed to pick up the win, it was just "fun" too, with the various barbed wire spots and things, JR and King's calling of the match was sublime too.

My 2nd ppv exposure to wrestling as a kid.... Wow. Just thank you. Made me as a child beg my mother to buy me the ecw documentary along with one for Mick! foley is awesome.. that was a well done hardcore match and it really mean something for both guys. if there were more guys like Foley and Funk who actually want to create stars for the future instead of selfishly putting themselves over and only thinking of themselves. funny meltzer's comment on this kind of match not being done often on WWE and gives it a high rating Meawhile on free TV every other week AEW will do a match like this and you will forget it tomorrow. In my opinion the sign of a truly great match is you remember it and want to see it again. and that goes for hardcore, lucha, strong style or even your Typical Hogan match. If it's done well it sticks with you. Not bashing AEW i like a lot of what they do but just notice how many table spots we get not just on ppv but on a weekly show sometimes in the same show.

Unless I'm totally tripping, Randy was ALMOST 24 at this point. Mick and Conrad make him sound like he was 21, over and over. I know it might be a fine point, but... still. Mid 20's compared to early 20's. There's a difference.
